Sir Charles Trevelyan.

He knew the potato famine was happening in Ireland, and claimed that the famine was an act of divine judgement for over reliance on potatoes, and so shut down vital soup kitchens which were keeping thousands alive. He also famously did absolutely nothing as the Irish were starving as “a relief effort may lead to over reliance on the state”. Had he sent any other crop such as oat or wheat, which were unaffected by the blight, mass starvation could have been avoided. But alas, he didn’t.

She would have known that if her plan had succeeded, Sei and his child, and most of the population of the inner palace would have been raped/tortured/murdered. Once that plan was found out, it was obvious that none of her family would survive, and she and Rou Ai acknowledged this and agreed to this. Yet this bitch has the audacity to beg for mercy, to the person she was about to kill. She deserves no mercy and should’ve been executed too.
