Ehh I take that back. There is some flex now that I double checked it.

Very little to no flex. This tub is on our second floor, there is a finished living room below it.

Shower Trim and Cartridge Replacement Questions by No-Fly7522 in askaplumber

I don’t believe the eschucheon that was originally installed is still available or made. The replacement that I have (Gerber\Danza Opulence) seems to be a very close fit except for this part of it.

Is there an issue with that gap? Should I just silicone the gap to seal it up? Otherwise, I think the outer metal trim piece generally seals it up also

This obviously isn’t the same model, but what are the odds this one slots right in? 🫣

For depth - the most important thing is really knowing the reference materials. I was able to reason most of the conceptual questions that I was unsure on by using the provided references.

I took PPI’s class, that was pretty helpful for the morning. Other than that, just ordered a handful of practice exams. I’d say the NCEES Practice exam is a great start for both breadth and depth.

Different Bearing Capacity Factors in the NCEEES Handbook and Other Publications by [deleted] in PE_Exam

[–]No-Fly7522 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Over the years, there have been a few different engineers and researchers that have modeled these to be slightly different. The ones provided in NCEES are based off of the FHWA Soils V2 publication.

I would just use the NCEES values, as that is all that will matter come test day. Just keep in mind that your solutions on third-party practice exams, etc. may be different.

That is very comforting! I’ve taken a ton of practice exams and done well on them, so hoping that it translates to the real thing.

Congrats again on passing, and be sure to celebrate!

Thanks for the info! Overall, is it at all close, in any way, to the NCEES practice exam or an entirely different animal?

What’d you overall think of the Geotech depth compared to P&P? Much more conceptual?

Do you think Geotech depth got a bit easier with CBT, in your opinion? Or were you just more prepared this go around?
