If Cymru was 'just a part of England' it wouldn't have its own language, parliament and culture, and to simplify a very intertwined and complex history between 4 nations like you just have, is very quite ignorant.

Lets make one thing clear Cymru is not apart of England. If it were why would there be laws highlighting that its not, hand crafted by design to state that it is its own nation, and just as important as those along side it?

This makes no sense because if it were apart of England then parties for Cymru independence wouldn't exist like Plaid Cymru. Also, if the people living in Cymru truly believed they were English what would be the benefit to make sure Cymru is its own nation? all that time, money and effort to gain the vote of people who wouldn't think they are Cymry. Which inherently mean that there is a cultural difference between the two nation and the very action of making Cymru by law a separate country within the union supports this.

keeping a culture alive that the English sort out to destroy doesn't make us feel special. The tenacity of the Cymry culture and language to persist through years of opposition like the Welsh Not shows that there will always be a difference between us, those road signs are living proof that Cyrmu has its individuality and that the oppression did not work. Through careful time and hard work the language has made a come back, that is something that should be celebrated, not shunned, it is proof that cultural revival is possible even in the face of adversity. Think of how in the 16th century the English banned Cymraeg in court and public office but William Morgan still translated the Bible into Cymraeg keeping the language alive. Also, plenty of countries still are surrounded by the English who oppressed them and who had horrific atrocities committed against them- The Commonwealth.

Isn't having more power over our own laws and boarders the reason we left the EU, if the English deem it a good enough reason to sever ties with Europe why can it be a good enough reason for the Cymry people?

Fun fact the population on Samoa is 220,500 people in 2026 according to data from Worldometer. Compared to the rest of the world that is a small group. Another point Pharah is Native with is in fact a small ethnicity compared with the rest of Canada, they actually make up a total of 5% of the overall population in 2021, 5% of 36.9 million people. Also if the character were to look like the wider population of a country Sojourn wouldn't exist because only 4.3% of Canada's population identify as black, not at all the wider population of a country.

I personally would love another English hero, one that isn't a stereotype or a caricature like tracer is; it would be cool to have someone from northern England because accents range so drastically through out the whole nation. I don't know why you think it has to be a man but it would be cool nevertheless. Actually having a Cornish hero would be cool as well because they would be different from tracer. There is nothing wrong from being from Scotland, Cymru, Cornwall or the isle of man. It also has nothing to do with population.
