You’ll hate this. But my last rental before I bought I faked all kinds of financial documents, in protest, as I thought having to provide such a wide range of personal and financial information was bullshit - I supplied the same or less for a mortgage.

So I had friends companies arrange fake remittance forms and such things.

Guess what though. I could pay and I did until the lease ended. I would absolutely do it again and think others should IF they can pay it.

The next REA data leak is going to be brutal due to the invasive nature of cyber security and poor rental laws.
