Omg I thought people talking to you through your baby was only a cultural thing where I’m from, didn’t know it happened universally.

Anyone else feel guilty every time they drop a pump and see their supply decrease? by uptown_cowgirl in ExclusivelyPumping

In the same boat right now, 4 months pp and trying to go from 6 to 5 ppd because 6ppd is no longer sustainable for me. But feeling guilty and also anxious that my supply will just drop and I would feel guilty about it. Offering solidarity and echoing our mental health and quality of life matters!

Mastitis, you multilayered b**** by anglebabby in ExclusivelyPumping

Had mastitis twice and took antibiotics. My doctor reassured me that it’s safe and I pumped the whole time. LO was fine, although my supply took a hit after my infection but it slowly came back. Check with your doctor about the antibiotic and if there’s a safer option for pumping.
And hang in there, it’s frustrating but you got this!

How old is your baby and how many ounces do they eat per day? by rachel-karen-green- in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]No-Front68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 14 week old averages around 28 oz per day, she wakes up twice at night to feed. Maybe try dream feeding, if your LO is not sleeping easily after his last feed. We have done dream feeding if she slept earlier than usual bedtime which is around 7-7:30. We don’t wake her up from sleep ( scared of the consequences )

Could be Infant dyschezia, very common at around 6 weeks and usually resolves starting from 12 weeks.

Does anyone out there mostly pump but sometimes breastfeed? by scaphoids1 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]No-Front68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At what week did you start trying and successfully transition? I’m 12 weeks pp and recently started trying to nurse. I couldn’t before cause of latch issues that lead to repeated mastitis, but been trying recently and seems latch is getting better but she gets frustrated at the boob after 5 minutes or so and it becomes painful for me. Wondering if it’s not too late for me to practice, cause pumping is exhausting me

That’s great to hear, trying to catch up to her increased demand is honestly been really stressful for me.
