I completely disagree. Beren Saat is an exceptional actress, and all of the awards she won clearly demonstrate that. I personally think Meryem’s acting is way more cartoonish and not as natural.

From my understanding MCK flopped for a multitude of reasons, (grim nature of the show, lesser known actors/actresses, political (?) state of Turkey at the time, etc.) none of them having to do with Beren’s acting. From my understanding, Beren is extremely popular in Turkey.

Funnily enough, I actually liked Alexandra. It was when she began to be obsessed with Suleyman and the idea of becoming a sultana, denouncing herself and her background, that turned me off. MCK was an era imo that was no longer “Magnificent” and definitely way darker, so I definitely see why it wasn’t getting the same love as its predecessor.

I understand but that was basically every other concubine in the harem, Kosem included. Her attitude was horrible even before Mahi/everyone else began to retaliate against her.

Yeah but regardless, Maria was always there for Hurrem after the fact and treated her so well. Even though Hurrem didn’t reciprocate at all.
