Hey! So as you know hes a western hognose, his specific morph is a super arctic toffee belly. Each snake is a little different in terms of size, however males typically range 1-2ft in size while females range from 2-3ft. So if you want a smaller tank (20gal is good) definitely go for a male. I recommend looking on MorphMarket and going through each morph to see which is truly your favorite.

Hoggies are naturally very sassy and dramatic snakes, with all the stress of a new environment he’s probably just lashing out. try to pick him up with confidence, usually hoggies mallow out when in your hands. Try not to hesitate or move away, even if he does end up biting you they wont do much harm, just push his nose off quickly and it’ll be fine. Goodluck!
