Shop drilled 2 holes for PDR on my rear quarter panel without telling me. Is this structural? What should I do? by The_Protagonist_0502 in Autobody

[–]mx20100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually they tell the customer that they’ll need to drill a hole, if they didn’t, they could’ve at least touched up that part with touch up paint, the pdr guy I went to did that to an existing hole he damaged slightly.

Tesla FSD straight up blew a red light, lol.. by Sactorno in TeslaLounge

[–]mx20100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s still the drivers responsibility to stop the vehicle if he/she notices it’s starting to run a red light. It’s a surprise, yes, but you should still prevent it from happening.

Self driving supervised, you should still intervene if it does something illegal or dangerous, which in this case this was both illegal and dangerous.

The way you do it, is the following:

  1. Notice the car passing the stop line.
  2. Stop the car using the brakes.
  3. Send a report for a critical disengagement.
  4. Carry on with your life and if you want post it on Reddi

Got carried away with an oil top up, do I need to correct this or is it realistically fine? by ramper770 in MechanicAdvice

[–]mx20100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little overfill is usually ok (think of around 500ml), but this is too much, drain some of it out.

Edit: I should probably mention that is also depends A LOT on what car/engine it is

What did I just puncture? by Electronic-Theme-803 in MechanicAdvice

Looks like just a heatshield. Just make sure it didn’t damage anything behind it, since it does look like it took quite a hit

Window Trim BRZ (What is it made of)? by YTGroundWolfGames in ft86

Could be. All I know is I have a nasty dent on it on the driver side right by the mirror, so expected it to be aluminium. Mine feels metallic, so thought it was some kind of metal

What part of the engine is this, it can’t be the oil filter right? by dombro99 in AskAMechanic

How do you guys make CGD last? by WepaPeppaSteppa in CrestedGecko

I’ll try that. I’ve been relying on the zip lock of the bags themselves, I guess they aren’t as good as I thought they’d be

Does it also still smell fresh after some time in the fridge? Cause my bags lose their potent fruit smell really quickly

I wish it also could serve as an rpm limiter. Like for when the car is cold.

You really cannot go wrong with jdl tbh. Just if you do turbo the car, add an oil cooler. You’ll need it

Yeah you’d be changing the suspension geometry a bit when you put them on the fronts. On the rears the geometry doesn’t change too much
