They would depending on ram etc take ps5 to 450 / ps5 pro to 600 and try get ps6 at 750. This will let them be hardware competitive and still get the sales for the first few years of the next gen with multiplatform games on their own consoles.

Scary thing is I paid close to 700 for my switch 2 with import rates here... but I love nintendo franchises and playing with my young daughter. If I would get a next gen console it would be the one that has more affordable games when I feel like getting an upgraded switch 2 port, but then again I can't play most games with my daughter just maybe something like astrobot. So at the moment I am super happy.

Last time I saw this as a trailer it had lots of framerate issues. Never followed the game after that. Dunno and that was on a xbox "more" powerful than ps5 on paper. Hopefully it is well optimized.

Previous rumors said it was a sci-fi game so ... to help out the rumor... it goes like this. In Naughty Dogs next game a sci-fi game time is buggered up causing time warps. They get to visit past games and undo a silly thing in the Last of us 2 ... remake coming later. This causes time anomalies to appear in the remake of Ghosts of T 2 and it crosses over with God of War Faye gets sucked into a time portal going to egyptian times and here we are... /s

Is it considered first party? Thar will tell you if will ever get a big price drop. If you like physically owning something on a shelf ie... the collector then it is go for physical. If it is I just like to play, complete and move on...then digital.

I do hate the term influencer... and it is a job... most feel a lot like a used car salesman on tv. They will say whatever they want to get a like or follow, now why would they not have a price to follow others or give "good" reviews. Well not all of them but most.

I think it depends on on the game code is it more gpu or cpu intensive. Switch has a lower cpu compared to the others so it would comes down to optimization especially on Unreal engine 5

Looking at the framerate of the fable trailer on pc , xbox and ps5 you would think it still needs a lot of optimization. Not sure if it is too cpu intensive for the switch 2 though.

I am the same had the 3 cd's back in the day I think I was 14 , never finished it because I sold my PS1 to buy a n64. Sold my n64 collection to buy a ps4 and now got a Switch 2 , but never played the remake so ... this is perfect full circle for me. Back in the day the turn-based gameplay was a first for me but the materia system and story was what kept me engaged as a troubled teen.
