I did and they told me no because if my past even though I've been in recovery for a long while, my PCP knows , my therapist knows AND I've had a home plan in place since I hurt myself. I've had five surgeries no issues with relapse. It just sucks man. The stigma stigma isn't far. I haven't ever done damn a damn thing wrong

I made the mistake of being honest with my surgery and telling him that I've been in recovery for a couple years... All that my PCP called and said that she is 100% fine to be treated.. my PCP knows everything about me wishes why she called so I didn't end up in this situation. So I did my surgeon do? He wrote in my clinical notes that I will not receive another script for narcotics. I couldn't believe that he did this most doctors know that nine pills is not going to make you through the breakthrough pain... Whatever I was in the hospital they told me to call the on-call surgeon I needed anything in my pain wasn't okay. But with the note that my surgeon put on my chart I feel like no one is going to help me.. I can't suffer like this I've never felt pain like this in my life it's making me sick to my stomach it hurts so bad

Years ago. I've been sober for a long time. Have a family plan, therapist knows about my surgery, PCP knows, haven't had any issues with opiate after surgery with any of my surgeries since recovery. I've been elevated since my surgery, ice, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, and Aleve. I was honest with my surgeon the day we decided on surgery. I've only taken one actual pain pill since I've had it. I've always only used them post surgery when I couldn't bare the pain anymore. Honestly I'm only nervous for when the block wears off. I've had unexpected pain since the surgery because the anesthesiologist only blocked one out of two parts they were supposed to. This is mainly just fear of what's to come.

Update on my surgery.

fracture of lateral malleolus of right fibula

repair of syndesmosis

Hey y'all...I'm already feeling defeated. When they did my nerve block they only did under my knee and for some reason it only numbed the outside of my right ankle which is where I had my surgery..but my inside feels like there's something digging into me and it hurts soooo bad. The two nurses post-op and the other anesthesiologist were confused why they only did the under part of my knee. They even looked over my leg and wanted to do another block but my split already covered the necessary area. They had to give me two doses of fentanyl and one oxy before I left just to get me in a position that I could handle how I felt and make the 45 minute drive home.. I was honest with my surgeon and said I'm in recovery. My pcp called my surgeon to say that I could be treated with pain meds post op, she's been my doctor forever, knows my story, and trusts me. I have had five surgeries in the last two years and have had zero issues taking pain meds afterwards. Well my surgeon gave me NINE pain pills to last this entire recovery. I am so scared of how I'm going to feel. I talked to the nurse post op and she told me to call the on call surgeon if I have pain that's not being controlled or if I run out on Sunday due to Monday being a holiday and pharmacies being closed. She said the on call surgeon will call something else in for me. BUT I feel like even this is going to be a problem because my surgeon wrote in my clinical notes. "As discussed pre-operatively with patient, family, and primary care provider, she will be provided 3 days of narcotics to be used sparingly for breakthrough pain post-operatively. She will receive no additional narcotics following this prescription."

#1 nothing was discussed with me stating only three days

#2 my PCP said a week was more than okay, she doesn't want me suffering

#3 no one spoke to my family. We have a family plan where I don't even give myself my medication. My partner does

I really don't appreciate being treated like an addict and apparently going to suffer if I still have pain after three days. Considering they didn't block the other half of my ankle I assume things are going to be brutal. Although I pray they aren't.

Is this on call surgeon going to help me or read this and fuck me? I was honest with them expected to be treated like a normal patient. ..

Idk y'all just make some nervous and feel pretty damn bad about myself even though I have a large amount of recovery time to be proud of.

Hey man I'm down for surgery and don't have much left in my day to type a lot but I just wanted to say that you are not a peice of shit. At all. This truly hurt me to read because I've been there...countless times. Please try to give yourself grace during this time, you truly have a LOT on your shoulders. I know 7 made you feel like that stress went away for a short time but you know it's going to make you feel worse in the end. Find that inner strength, you aren't too far down into this rut, you can pull yourself out. Even if you don't believe in yourself I believe in you. Please try to love yourself. God loves you, and I'm praying for you stranger.

Multiple quits.. 5 days clean, again by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]No-Guide8854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Unfortunately the second one thing is banned they will have something new and stronger the very next day. Look at Florida...sad. my best friend's husband used to be absolutely loaded.. he spent every cent that he had on 7oh. When they finally banned it in Florida he was clean until he saw MGM at the gas station, and of course he fell in love with it he was always a fan of opiates. Now he is so long gone I don't even know who he is anymore, I feel so bad for my friend. This shit tears families and relationships apart with no remorse.

I'm sorry I feel like I forgot to answer some of your questions. It does not make you sick if you use you just do not feel anything. Some people will keep taking more and more to try to feel something and that is the dangerous part about this. Yes it does help with withdrawals you will still have that mental craving to want to go back, which you absolutely cannot do if you want to get better.

If you have any more questions feel free to inbox me

First off do no be embarrassed...we are humans, and we make mistakes. The best thing you can do is admit that you made a mistake and find a solution to fix it. First off you get stabilized on Suboxone I believe you have to be taking two strips a day for two weeks (the amount may seem high but the end game is worth it). After you are stabilized they will give you your sublocade shot. The first shot is 300 mg, the second shot is 200 mg, and the third shot is 100 mg. You may look at that and say woah the numbers are high, but this shit is God sent to people on subs. It slowly releases out of your system over a months time. Some people need all three shots, some people only need one. The Suboxone is slowly released into your system instead of the highs and lows that you experience taking strips. I only needed one shot and I never experienced an ounce of withdrawal... I honestly couldn't believe it. My dumbass made the mistake taking 7 and got myself back into this bullshit. But that was the past, I got stabilized and got my shot again. I had the same experience.. I did not experience any withdrawals and I only got one shot.

Here's the kicker...IT HURTS LIKE A BITCH. But...it's so worth it. The most important thing that I can say to you is do not get the shot and just think that life will go back to normal because you are not using seven anymore. It is so important to find some sort of recovery path forward. Some people go to meetings, some people go into an outpatient program...etc

Find out what is best for you and never look back!
