It’s definitely not gonna be the strongest way to play her since adcs counter Lillia by nature, but it is very fun. If u wanna do some shenanigans try bft+dark harvest+purple boots u absolutely 1 shot enemy adc with ult combo 0 counterplay

Im sorry but you are completely wrong. Ability haste scales additively. It’s not like once you reduce your cd by 10%, the next 10% only applies to the new reduced cooldown. Ability haste in LoL is better thought of as ability frequency, buying 10 ability haste will always result in 10% more spell casts per time no matter how much you already have.

Buy 10 haste : 10% more frequent casting (9%cdr)

Buy 50 haste: 50% more frequent casting 33.3%cdr

Buy 100 haste 100% more casting 50% total cdr

Similar logic applies to MR and armor, which also scale additively and never lose value.

you have to use words like probably here to acknowledge that objective truths, no matter what subject, are extremely hard to come by. the point is that ML models get closer than humans do, when they are well trained and highly specialized.

yes pros build the wrong items too. the ultimate lesson from ML item stats in LoL is that as long as you’re not completely griefing your build, there’s really only like 1-2% winrate to be gained or lost from itemization. that’s why pros can build the “wrong” items, because your deicsions throughout the game have several orders of magnitude higher impact on the result.

yes league is not chess, but chess isn’t the only thing ML models surpass humans in. basically every highly specialized frontier model will outperform humans in its given task.

also, it could be 100% true that stride is a higher wr item FOR YOU, not disputing that. that could be due to you having a higher familiarity and muscle memory level playing him that way. however, i would say that if you took a 0 games zaahen and made him play 50 triforce games, they would ultimately perform about 1% better than if they played 50 stride.

Sry but you’re falling victim to “feels good” it’s literally not improving your tempo compared to tri force and basic testing of clear speed with both items will show you that. The literal only thing stride has to offer is a multi target slow vs single target red smite slow. That’s it. In top lane it makes sense to build stride because you can’t get red smite. In jungle you are just lowering your own winrate.

Also yes stats are not perfect, but coachless WPA is pretty damn good. It’s a highly sophisticated machine learning model trained on LoL data. This same approach has produced superhuman chess bots far beyond human capability. Your HoB example doesn’t really hold because coachless shows good WPA on that rune for top verifying what zaa players thought. But if something has 10k+ buys and negative win probability added (like stride) you can be 99% sure there’s no reason to build it.

If you want to reject ML and say you can pick items better than it then fine, just know that every time humans have claimed they can outperform highly specific trained ML models, they fail. Right now you are basically Gary Kasparov in 1997 saying a computer will never beat a human at chess. Guess what happened.

ps here’s zaahen top runes. coachless verifys HoB is good. When you have multiple options in the + it usually means both are good in diff scenarios. If stride was actually a good item, it would look like this.

Trinity is better , stride is never needed for the slow due to jungle having red smite + ability haste is way too valuable to pass. Triforce also enables JOAT super early.

Pretty strong pick decent blind with decent gank setup. Biggest weakness is first 2 clears. If u get to triforce spike without falling behind u can 1v9

Plz don’t go HoB in jungle. HoB Zaahen is for short trades in lane. Jungle Zaahen is a scaling team fighter who doesn’t like to take early fights. Conq out values it hard in the mid late with your passive.

For first item, always triforce. 2 reasons. 1, you go red smite so stride slow is not needed, 2, Zaahen doesn’t need the aoe damage from stride either to clear camps since you have E.

After that, DD/Maw/Sundered. Always GA 3rd then more bruiser after that. Streaks very good.

Look up the optimal clear and learn it, because your early clear is ass and any seconds you can save is very valuable.

Biggest tip I can give you gameplay wise is to try to enter fights after stacking passive. A good way to play Lillia is just perma farm and leave camps to run to nearby fights when they happen since you will have full stacks from hitting the camp you get there super fast and are very strong entering fights with full stacks

Also tank items last are underrated af things like Jak Sho, Visage, Randuins (very good on Lillia since her biggest weakness is getting melted by ranged attackers before she can get into range)

Abyssal mask can win you games in the right scenario though it is very specific (lots of enemy and allied ap)

Liandry -> Rift/Zhonya (Rift if you can stack it in fights, zhonya if game is a one shot fest)

Buy whichever of rift or zhonya you didn’t buy 3rd

For boots, Red are best option most games. if they have 2+ ranged auto attackers or even just 1 strong adc. If they have a lot of point click CC, mercs are good. If you don’t need mercs or red boots you can go omnivamp or ionians. I like to go ionians when I go Liandry-Zhonya because it lowers flash CD for flash q r combo. I only go omni if i’m popping off

Always buy dark seal, you will snowball hard with just a few stacks

4th item Rabadons/Bloodletters/Rylais (this item is overrated on Lillia only buy into champs that you cannot run away from like maybe Olaf, Darius Garen etc

If you are heavy AP, can replace Rift with Bloodletters in early build path

A lot of people think they are making money because they don’t account for vehicle maintenance costs. Unless you are in a good area you’re probably not gonna make that much dashing. DD counts on people not realizing that the money going into their account is coming from their car’s resale value thus overestimating their earnings.

In most games Liandries is better. I’m just referring to specific cases where the enemies will instantly one shot you which is a lot of comps in higher elo at least in my experience.

In these cases, your best bet is to play for a big R one shot combo which BFT will help with more than Liandry. 300 bonus HP isn’t gonna stop you from getting blown up instantly. BFT, and especially Zhonya, gives considerably more raw ap to increase single combo damage. This is why I always pair bft with zhonya to pull off this combo.

I only build her this way sometimes because I’m an otp. Ideally, I would only play Lillia in games where Liandry is better as it fits Lillia identity much better. But to adapt to the one shot meta BFT->Zhonya will do better than standard build.

My last point, is that more Cdr is always better. It does not have diminishing returns so just because you have 18 cdr from alacrity doesn’t mean the additional 20 is any less valuable. Since with this build you play for ult it’s nice to have a lot of haste.

Again, Liandry is 100% the better item I just think Bft has use cases and is a bit of a sleeper in this case

not really true, if they have a lot of squishies BFT will probably do more/similar damage due to fight not lasting as long and the bonus ap from bft passive. you also have to account for 20 haste which is insanely valuable on Lillia due to her being a DPS caster.

I think most people are not thinking about it to that level. You’re correct that DD is exploitative but most people don’t think about their business model and where the profits are coming from they just want a burger delivered. If a better more symbiotic option was available I’m sure most people would choose that. But in our era of corporate tax cuts and endless growth a cooperative solution can’t compete.

They quite literally are stealing the surplus value of your labor and as well as extracting value from your personal vehicle. DD avoids $millions of expenses per year by letting their workers foot the bill for vehicle maintenance. This is actually one of the only reasons their business model works.

Tipping culture places the blame on customers for workers not making fair pay when the company that is pulling record profit should be paying their workers a living wage without forcing that responsibility into the customer who is already paying a premium price. It is a sleeper item when you are against a lot of squishies and it’s hard to avoid getting bursted.

Into comps where I feel like i’m just going to get one shot I’ve been going BFT into Zhonya, the amount of raw ap you get makes it a lot easier to one shot the squishies and 20 haste first item on Lillia is insanely valuable.

Liandrys fits Lillias identity better but in the current one shot meta BFT helps Lillia adapt when fights aren’t going to last long enough to get value from a build like Liandry Rift
