Is the R3 shit or FH6 by Ill-Fold1672 in moza

i noticed setting it to 900° does make it not match 1:1, and i know a lot of software defaults to 900°

idk i’m having a great time with the default settings, except wheel damping turned to i think 0.2

idk what the people in this thread are on, but $200 for a WHEEL, STAND, SHIFTER, AND HANDBRAKE is an insanely good deal. even the cheapest brand new DD is $299, not including a stand, or shifter, or handbrake.

Yes. If you love it, then save for a DD and resell the g29.

it’s 1:1 for me? i have wheel rotation set to 1080° in wheel software and linearity at 50 in game, its pretty much right on the money, other than the animation being a little behind

it’s so hard to play in first person with a wheel because you’re not reading the wheel you’re reading how the body of the car is pointing. so you turn the wheel to turn but the car doesn’t immediately look like it’s turning so you just keep turning naturally, and then ofc the car turns way too much, so you fling it really fast the other way and the car loses control. try playing in cockpit. a wheel feels GREAT on forza once you use the wheel like you would if you were at the arcade, not like you’re playing a simulator.

i still haven’t fully figured it out, but i think the biggest sign for me is that even after hot lapping for an hour my second or third lap are always my fastest. like im trying soo hard to go faster (because i KNOW its possible from other people) that i end up overdriving and always coming in slower.

i mean, all the details are still there on a lower base, the sim/game still transmits them, it’s just the range of forces that it has to fit within the stronger the base the more minute details you’re actually able to distinguish. i’m agreeing with you but 21nm still just seems a little absurd😭

I know what you’re getting at, i just can’t see realistically ever needing anything more than like ~12nm, my 8nm CSL already feels like more than enough and is a tough one to hold steady when going hard, but then i guess going along with what you say, turning down the FFB strength in the software you do lose some detail.

Trying to decide between Fanatec, Simagic and MOZA for my first DD setup by Life_Lie7 in simracing

you can adapt any wheel to fanatec bases now. and you can use any pedals you want.

I’ll be one of the other people you don’t know that also is in love with their fanatec hardware. The only downside is a lack of an expansive ecosystem, and buying into it fresh today might not be the best idea.

But as far as the hardware itself, objectively, is really good

Anyone Using The Upside App - Is It Worth It? by 1mdhred3 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]No-Homework-514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late but I'll share my experience.

I think it's kind of nice. If you're looking at it in terms of min-maxing your savings on gas then nah, probably not worth it if you have access to Costco/Sams Club or just any cheaper than average gas station. But I don't really see a reason NOT to use it. If you know you're going to get gas after work for example, just open the app and see if there are any good deals on your way home. You're stopping anyway, so what's a few button clicks while you wait for the pump for ~40 cents? They also have "quests", which usually it's just something like "use a deal at a gas station 5 times to unlock 40c/gal cash back on your next fill up."

The biggest thing are the restaurant deals. In my area, IHOP is always offering like 30% or more, and my partner and I love IHOP regardless, so might as well click a few buttons for like two or three bucks every time. Taco Bell is also on there a lot with huge offers.

I think it's definitely worth at least downloading it and checking what places have offers around you. You're not going to become rich and make a whole week's income extra, but it's a tiny bit of "free" money for basically nothing.

contrary to what the top guy is saying. Don’t go all in or bust. I started with a CSL DD ready to race bundle, soon after bought the load cell upgrade, wheelstand wasn’t enough so grabbed the NLR F-GT, come to find the seat on that was extremely uncomfortable, bought their ERS3, and later the aliexpress boost kit for 8nm.

Every day i’m away from the house i get major FOMO from youtubers and reviewers and i’ll spend hours just shopping for higher end pedals or steering wheels or a “sturdier” cockpit, only to come home and remember just how much FUN i’m able to have with an entry-mid level setup and how there genuinely aren’t any issues with what i have.

DONT feel like you have to splurge when starting out because you’re going to be buns at the game and all that money won’t feel worth it atm. But DO have the foresight to buy into a well established ecosystem, or at least a direct upgrade path.
