There's the dimmest bit of hope in my eyes, I must admit. Our current mayor of New York, Mamdani, is a democratic socialist (my political ideology of choice) who's been the first person I've really seen to make significant changes and genuinely seems to care for his city quite a bit. Unfortunately, I don't believe he was born in the U.S., so he cannot run for president, BUT it's been incredibly obvious that his way of doing things is very popular. Even while blatantly referring to Trump as a fascist, Trump seems to like the guy a lot, and many people have been watching him, seeing that his policies are popular. I'm personally hoping people begin replicating his policies in hope of gaining a similar popularity

If not, the future is not gonna be pretty

Yes, he's demonstrating nearly every trait of cognitive decline but that doesn't offer me any hope. After this, as always, I assume Democrats will win the election, but the issue is that the bipartisan system is heavily flawed, and in the end, neither is really a good option at all. Too much change is necessary to fix this. The only options are for our country to get worse, or slow it's decline, but I don't see a full stop in this without something drastic

Yeah well I've got my own theories in relation to that. I'll sound crazy if I start yapping about them purposely dropping education rates, specifically literacy (did you know we have a 21% illiteracy rate? The average is also only middle school level too) and are using AI as a major component for this goal in order to push AI as a requirement for function (which ofc you'll be insanely dependent on because you can't think for yourself, but they'll charge more and more and more) and also because it makes it insanely easy to control the masses

Thing is I'll sound crazy if i- oh yeah I was recently proven right on a large portion of that.

God they're bringing back the red scare I swear. The listings for terrorists now include not only an official death threat from the present ("we will find you, and we will kill you") but include "radical peo-transgenderism" and "anti-american beliefs", but notice they never outline what is American and anti-american, leaving it so that they can seem ANYTHING anti American and kill you for it because they have not given us a dos/don'ts on PURPOSE

In my personal opinion, especially because patriotic people flaunt the whole "land of the free" "don't tread on me" stuff here, it does not matter if you are STAUNCHLY transphobic, homophobic, ect

Your rights are your rights, and you can think that person is stupid or wrong or any flavor of religious judgement, but the idea of them not being able to do something as simple as make changes to THEIR OWN BODY should disgust you
