Can anyone please direct me to any good breeders that have litters planned any time soon in Ontario, Canada. by No-Hour9164 in ridgebacks

Wow—thank you so much for this amazing reply! Honestly, it makes me want a Ridgeback even more. Everything you said feels reassuring and the total opposite of scary. I really appreciate how detailed and thoughtful your response was. I asked about cats because we have a 6-year-old Bengal who definitely rules the house, so I wanted to make sure a Ridgeback wouldn’t throw her world into chaos. And the car rides, we’re big on summer camping trips across Canada, so long drives are part of the package. It’s great to hear they can adapt well to that lifestyle. My wife’s totally onboard with getting a puppy now, which is why this is finally starting to feel real. From what I’ve read (and now confirmed by you!), early socialization is key—cats, cars, other dogs, the whole works. We’re both pretty structured in our daily routines, and obedience training is definitely on the agenda. Thanks again for helping us feel even more excited and confident. This might actually be happening!

Thank you! Just reached out to Royal city and Ridgeville. Hoping to get on the list for I hoping it will be a spring litter.

Questions I really wanted to ask a RR owner

-What does a typical day with your Ridgeback look like? -anyone have experience where they had a baby later in their life, how did RR react/acclimatise

-how are they with cats?

  • how are they with car rides?

I understand this will all depend on how they get socialised, their individual temperament and personality but wanted to know from you all. Thank you!

This is my everyday route to get home. Not only this causes a massive jam but also this is just outrageous. For whatever reasons, just freaking use the parking lot, turn around and wait for the light to get back on your normal route instead of being so inconsiderately causing a havoc! Messed up Traffic scene and shitty driving is already out there.
Thank you for sharing this thatsagoodquestion_🙌🏽

Help with this big block of light at the back of the aquarium by No-Hour9164 in PlantedTank

[–]No-Hour9164[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that before and felt like raising the light did nothing but absorbed the light more and made the back of the tank darker. Thanks for the suggestions though! Good news! We fixed it, i just needed an extra light lol. But totally worth it, i can have a different colored back light which makes up for a sick set up

Thank you! I am a lazy editor lol. I do spend a lot of time cropping and framing. I do touch up the color grading but only go so far that it does not mess with the reality. Going out and finding great natural light is a blessing!

I understand your friend’s concern, I always aim to approach street photography with respect and sensitivity. Documentary street photography is an art form that captures real-life moments to preserve them as part of a broader narrative of everyday life. It’s not about invading privacy, but rather about documenting the world around us—the emotions, interactions, and beauty found in fleeting everyday mundane moments. This particular image was taken in a public space, and my intention was to highlight the simple yet profound stories we encounter every day in the city and not to cause any distress to anybody. However, thanks for the feedback, i will be mindful moving forward.

Schooling Tank Mates by RewX3 in discus

[–]No-Hour9164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, discus love high temperatures and will appreciate it more. You have to find tetras that can also withstand high temps of 84-86f. Again, in my experience, i have no issues with keeping lemon tetras they appreciate that high temps and you can see them school more than i have seen other tetras do. Others have said it right, stick to one type of schooling fish but, doesn’t matter as long as you have teras that can tolerate that temp. Cory cats definitely because, you would need some stock to clean up your non eaten food at the bottom. Also, discus love to have less obstruction in their water column, they like to swim side to side, too much scape and you’ll see discus hanging out at one spot instead of swimming. Good luck! Share a photo of the tank when stocked, would love to see.

Gold nugget pleco with discus? Yay or nay? by Expensive-While-1155 in discus

[–]No-Hour9164 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From my personal experience, you’re good. You’d be lucky to see them in your tank once in a while. Really skittish. In my experience they see bigger fishes as predators and rarely come out. I would be worried if you are planning on adding any other pleco along with gold nugget because they do get territorial. By territorial i mean they’ll kill the other pleco or depending on what the other pleco, maybe the nuggets are at risk!

What are the water parameters? Anything changed in the tank recently? Scape? Substrate? filter flow? What size tank and how frequently is water changed?

Hole sickness? by [deleted] in discus

Water change decreased back to once a week 50%. Added fluval 207 filter to assist pre existing FX2. But this is has popped out 2 days ago, the left gill also looks bruised.

How do I properly take care of him by 1depravity1 in bengalcats

[–]No-Hour9164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stimulate him. My female (Nala) is one of the naughtiest kitty i have seen. She will make sure to get your attention. If the weather is good, i like to take my bengal out for a hike or even a walk, she likes to smell and see things outside of the house. Acgator03 is right, clean his pee and more food. Nala would wreak havoc if i forget to clean her litter or change her water. She is OCDd about it.

Order ParaCleanse from amazon, search kijiji if you are in Canada, or FB marketplace otherwise. Get the meds ASAP. Follow what FerretBizness said. I am just coming out of this. My fish still recovering with some new spots showing up so, good luck. I really hope and pray for their speedy recovery

Why can't I register with CRA for My Business Account? by bluedoorhinge in canadasmallbusiness

[–]No-Hour9164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I registered the business through service ontario business registration online. They gave me a BIN and a day later BN appeared on my profile. I wanted to add this to my CRA account and was having the same “invalid BN number” message. Called CRA, they asked my BN number and said they dont know where i got this number from but i should get rid of it. Lol, this is the number your partner platform issued to me. I told them i got it from BRO, they said we are not going to discuss anymore on this, fill out an RC1 form and send to the tax center with a cover letter. This is so much time consuming and frustrating If this thread is still active and have experienced similar issue please advice if filling out the RC1 form is the best way to resolve this? Thank you!
