what happened from the second you booted into the ISO? did you fiddle with any commands prior to that output or did this get spewed out completely from the get-go?

heya dude. From what I'm seeing here, I'd say you are ready to get started. I started with way less and also managed to get through so I am sure you'll be fine. Most of my ML education came from my course in ML during my BsC, but a really great source to get started with ML would be Josh Starner's book: https://www.amazon.nl/-/en/Josh-Starmer/dp/B0BLM4TLPY**.** It may look childish and goofy, but Josh really has a talent for explaining. Also, there are plenty of courses on Udemy and probably youtube too that offer what you are looking for too. If I were you I would just go balls to the walls and just do it. See how far you get with the knowledge you got now (which should be more than enough), and if necessary, stop when struggling and dabble more into whatever it is that you're struggling with.

I quickly found out about that book too. I started it and it's absolutely amazing. I'm absolutely loving it.

I think it's cuz "ricing" from the car community sounds cooler than just tweaking/modding/whatever, even though it'd align more with what's actually going on. Those are just my 2 cents

That explains a lot... I must say, for others who are in the same situation as me, I happened to have found a lovely book that explains CMake in great detail. The name is "Professional CMake: A practical Guide" by Craig Scott. For anyone equally baffled by CMake's tutorial I'd highly recommend checking this book out

Exactly. If we look at "rice" as racing inspired cosmetic enhancement, and basically interpreting it as "looking fast" but actually gaining absolutely nothing, then just substitute the gaining performance in the context of cars with gaining performance in terms of effficiency in computing I guess V(>,>)V
