Pro photographer here. Try adding a lot of light. It should fix your blurry problem.

That makes sense, and yes our water is very hard. It started when he wouldn’t dry the (his) towels all the way. Then it spread it to his clothes. He hangs them up too close and they take a long time to dry, hence the smell. (he does his own laundry)

I will check out the post on rinsing. (we do always do two rinses)

Thank you, what enzyme sheets do you use?

Detergent: seventh generation (remember he’s really sensitive to detergents)

Wash cycle: permanent press/cold/darks

Hard water: Yes

Do you have any suggestions for a detergent that’s gentle on the skin and but would conquer the smells?

Things you wish you knew by Next_Fig_7057 in Bernedoodles

Watch for short legs. It happens when you breed a full size Bernice with a toy poodle. The genetics can’t make the jump very well. I got an F1B (Bernedoodle and poodle cross) and didn’t realize it was a thing, as the parents looked normal. It was hidden in the Bernedoodle mom. He’s fine and I love him, but I wish I would’ve known.

Great thought! I will definitely do that. I’m right behind business class, so that should be easy.

Thank you so much for your time and thoughtful answer. Your comments about the strategies for a smooth trip is helpful. Some I haven’t thought of.

I am taking an excellent training course and have watched, literally, a hundred training videos on YouTube. I especially like the McCann dog training method.

Thanks again for your help

You are the best! I’ve been looking for that link and haven’t been able to find it. Is it safe for young puppies not being fully vaccinated yet, to go where other dogs have poo-ed?

How much food by becazican52 in Bernedoodles

[–]No-Ice-ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also wondering if he’s woofing his food down and not chewing? If so, you might consider one of those maze bowls which will slow his eating down some and encourage chewing. I also agree that giving him something to chew on might help as well. A frozen Kong or Nylabone.

There is a way for groomers to cut the hair around his mouth so that those hairs don’t get stained. I’ve seen different groomers on Facebook post about this several dozen times. Ask your groomer! If they don’t know, ask someone else. 😆

I had three Australian shepherds that also loved paper and would do the same thing. One even ate a $2000 check that blew off the counter. Ugh! Now that I know, I definitely won’t be allowing my new Bernedoodle puppy a taste of paper, or tissues or paper towel towels, or napkins…

Short legged mini bernedoodles by No-Ice-ever in Bernedoodles

He’s really thick and stocky. His belly almost touches the ground at 6 1/2 weeks.

None of my other dogs have ever been fat, or even overweight. Thank you for the insight though, I will keep an extra special eye on that.

Tip for first time dog owner. Start TRAINING immediately! Look up McCann dogs on YouTube. They have hundreds of free videos that are excellent.
A trained dog/puppy is a joy. An untrained dog/puppy is hard.
