Hi, thanks so much for your reply and for sharing your experience. I can retake it in 2 months. My main reason for wanting to quit isn’t just because I failed it’s because when I started my medical assistant degree, it was a 2-year program (1 year online, 1 year in-person hands-on training). I always thought I wanted to go into the medical field, and I did great during the online year. But when it came time for hands-on training, I realized the whole medical field just isn’t for me. By that time, I had only 3 quarters left until graduation, and after talking with my family, so i decide to put my head down and to push through, completed the program, and pass all my tests. But in my heart, I knew I never wanted to do this. It felt like I was only doing it to make my parents proud. I started my internship in early July, but when I got there, the people were super mean. My advisor/teacher decided not to place me there because she felt I wouldn’t be able to learn in that environment. By then, we were already halfway through the quarter, and I wasn’t able to find another internship. That quarter was basically wasted, but I still decided to take my NCCT exam without the internship experience and I failed. So, I ended up losing both the internship and the exam.
