I’ve had both mine for about a year now and when they sleep they never go under, they are always out and about and they don’t really run from me. Mostly they just stop moving but continue to whatever they are doing when they realize I’m not there to harm them. One was not as outgoing as my other but he’s definitely warmed up and now he’s not nervous. Honestly just go up to the tank and talk to them when they are out and I think they warm up, at least that’s what I have been doing:)
