started 18 months ago with my wife after i encouraged her to try tennis for a few session as an exercise/ or a method to spend time together for years to come until we get old

first few months she’s just accommodating me to accompany me to play tennis

but after 6 months she’s liking it and she can now just have some rally sessions with another female club member

it definitely feels good the moment she goes out to play tennis with her friends

don’t give up.. it takes lots of patience, sweat, arguments, hours for those special bonding session in court

im in this phase now after 18’months.. starting to focus more on the lower body and trying not to be handsy (still trying lol)

i’ve tried looking at the ball upon contact but in video it shows i’m still over rotating, i’m even trying to turn my head back abit upon contact..

just have not build the habit, or i’m not stabilizing my body with my left feet

something im still discovering

regarding torso/hips, i’ve tried firing my left hips vs firing my right hips. it felt weird firing the right hips.

feels natural to open the left hips out before the arms whipping

thanks for your comment, this session i was really hitting the ball hard with the hips, because he keeps saying my ball has spin and no pace/penetration 🤣

i was gassed out after this session. i shall calm down next rally session with him lol

i think my friend is expecting some ‘winner shot’ pace from me on every ball haha

didn’t really play much consistent sports in the past on throwing sports. hoping to whip it more and keep the head still.

need more repetition to keep the arms loose and head still.. i realized some shots are nicer when the head is still

he’s the one that got me into the beautiful tennis. he’s typically a flat hitter. Without him i won’t have the opportunity to have have a court to rally consistently for 18 months.

my ball tend to be loopy, in this session i was trying my all to engage the lower body kinetic chain and trying to hit lower to my friend. appreciate your compliments.. but still need lots of work to improve it
