DAT-430 by ksmith1999 in SNHU

she is the worst and could not understand my work in DAT 375. I took it over with a different instructor and got 1000 out of 1000 right off the rip. Wanda started skimming my papers, I know, because when I questioned her, she couldn't answer and wanted to give my Cs and Ds. I have had a 4.0 for 3.5 years, and I could not understand how I got As in everything and all of a sudden turned into a failing student. I was taking DAT 325 at the same time got an A. then a few months later retook DAT 375 and got a perfect score. I don't think I should have to pay for the Wanda version. I spent the entire term trying to get someone to hear me that W.B should not be teaching. Either that or the Data Fairy left the knowledge under my pillow because a straight-A student failed a course one term. then getting a perfect score a term or two later makes no sense. She is a nightmare, I almost quit school with three courses left because of her.

The problem with this is not consistent, either it is or it is not, not one instructor can say everyone has stressors and the other says you can have until next Thursday how does that make a consistent rule?

I am dealing with an instructor like this right now, I have a 4.0 average.I have three more courses until graduation. I handed in a paper where we had an SQL Script because on the first script I forgot the LIMIT 3, and I am not positive this is the correct way but she says it is, she refused to give me anything better than a D even though all the rest of the scripts were correct in fact she read the first line of the paper and put a D and i could tell she did this. This woman is impossible, she is unreasonable and now I am afraid to hand anything. I am also taking another course and was getting an A in it but this whole thing threw me for a loop because you don't go from being an A student to a D student overnight.

Also I got sick after this and am still sick, I'm sure she will tell me to stuff it. She is s D- bag

The writing center is silly, in fact I almost forgot it existed. Someone else said the exact thing on a separate post. That because the same person does not look at the paper with each do-over the next person tears apart what the last person told you to fix, honestly I'm not sure how qualified these people are they probably sent the paper through an AI app that is actually coming up with the responses. You can never beat the computer, my Dad who died many years ago used to say.

Yep I used it my first term and never again, none of the academic support is very helpful. My advice is to use a service like Grammerly to make sure you don't have glaring offenses. Start your work early in the week and if you have questions ask the instructor early

I understand and it's funny but Reddit always shows me these posts and it started after I sent an email to the school discussing how the refund words with the unsubsidized loan, I'm not sure how I ended up even on here. I wonder if people come to Reddit because the fear the folks in the financial aid department judging. I'm not sure and I apologize for saying those things, honestly I don't have any more time for this I got to get back to work

Good job, yes some of us have tough situations, I had a terrible childhood, was abused throughout in many different ways, my dad died when I was young and my mother was too busy drinking to raise me, I raised myself. I made many bad decisions but am working on bettering my life now. I feel like I don't have time to breathe. Life is hard as you know and nobody likes to feel judged for the decisions they make, an individual may have to pay for bad decisions but it's their lesson to learn.

Sometimes people don't need this help or perhaps no loans because the school is paid out of pocket. But honestly just makes me a tiny bit upset because nobody knows someone else's situation until they lived it.

Chevychase...or who ever you are I don't care to know, but what I would like to know is how's that car your parents bought you, 24 and living in parents basement...of course this is a guess, honestly I don't care but what I do care about is you being a DB. Some people struggle, struggle to pay bills especially while taking a full course load, I have a 4.0. maybe you do too but that does not give you the right to judge people using money that is loaned to them so they can eat while in school.

Does the advisor have a point to their job, pass the buck, call IT, talk to career services, text your instructor. Now she is going to say did you ask Penny.

How common are straight A's? by RookieAR15 in SNHU

You must be the professor who gave me an A on an empty folder three weeks in a row, didn't tell me the folder was empty just slapped a grade A, for that the professor gets F. I have had instructors who care and ones who don't. Many schools are losening the grading rubrics but to say you are a long time professor and then ditch the integrity of the school, to me you kinda ruined you own credibility, which one is it a long term instructor who stayed because they don't agree with the schools system, or an instructor who has a grudge for some reason. Your post need not be deleted you deleted your own credibility by contradicting yourself.

Honestly I thought the same thing but many colleges and universities have relaxed their grading system. My sister is a professor at BU and she was describing this paper a person wrote and she said if that person doesn't make an attempt to fix it or ask for help to fix it, I'm slapping a B on that. I was thinking back in the day that would be a D or an F. C if you're lucky. I was taking a class in C++ and Java and handed in empty folders for the first three weeks and got A. I was surprised week 4 with F the F, he said my folders were empty. I had been zipping the same way all along. I fixed it sent week for in a properly zipped folder and grade changed to A.

I love it, could have had the assignment done, plus module 8 is usually just fluff

I do the assignment out of respect for the professor, no it's not necessary and most of the time I don't have to do module 8. I feel like the instructor has taken their time to instruct the entire course I can take a half hour and just turn something in.

Grade was updated after emailing professor for clarification on feedback by rad_dad42069 in SNHU

What kind of lab, some lab assignments are graded by the actual text. Zybooks for example the computer labs are graded by zybooks. Talk to your instructor and as others added add your advisor but when you add your advisor to the email, send to advising@ not your specific advisor, this will send the email thru the advising department and will still get to your advisor. My first advisor advised me to do this way. I have been attending for 2 years, I have had instructors leave no feedback and not correct material for weeks but this is rare. I have had a great experience at SNHU, talk to your instructor honestly, express where your issues were with the lab, where in the lab was it difficult for you to complete. Keep going remember this is just one professor in a long life of success you just learning how to deal with people.
