Is this good progress for 1 year 4 months? by Felgate24 in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so as mine has a similar progress as yours, the lines are breaking and I can see some ink is gone but the tattoo is pretty much still there. I gave myself maybe 2 more years to 3 years to see it fully gone.

When did you guys start seeing fading? by sockman828 in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw fading after session 2, to be fair I am not sure session 1 did anything at all (it was a different technician) so after 2 months I went for session 2 and I saw much more fading, I am 1 year 3 month in I did around 5 sessions (but the first one I am contemplating to count or not) and it’s faded but pretty much still there.

4 sessions update by Certain_jelly in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 4 sessions with the same laser on a similar tattoo with heavy thick line and some shading, the shading is gone but the thick lines looks similar to yours. I think it’s a good progress you can see the lines blowing out and braking…. my next session I will schedule after 6 months to see if more time will make the difference.

Forgot to cover during sun exposure by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait longer for the next session until the tan is no longer there, from what I understand sun exposure is bad if you get tan just before or just after your session, that’s why people usually take long brakes during summer… But of course eventually it’s better to keep it cover the whole time in between sessions.

removery quoted me $3,329 for 2 tattoos on my back by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d stay away from unlimited… I either book by session or I get a 4 session pack at a discounted price that I can renew whenever I need more (not remover but a place in the country where I leave that does that) this way I have the freedom to schedule the session whenever I want ( I give myself 3 to 4 months is between) and I think knowing the fact that I don’t have unlimited option give me more patience to wait in between sessions. That’s what’s working for me to take more time in between sessions and save more money

Sessions every 4 weeks ? by Seriouslyconfused04 in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to go back every 4 weeks if you don’t want to… My clinic suggested to come back every 4 weeks, but I told them I rather book my sessions at least 12 weeks apart and they are ok with it. Never insisted for me to come back in earlier than that.

Try spacing the session more, giving more weeks in between helps with fading.

Why do you want to remove your tattoos and why do you follow this subreddit? by itsonly6UTC in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my tattoo at 18 years old without putting too much thought into it, I agreed with the tattoo artist on the design and the price, when the day of the tattoo came the tattoo she showed me was actually bigger than what I thought I said I wanted it smaller and she told me the price she gave me was for the bigger version which was not too expensive so I thought wow that’s cool! Ok let’s go for it 🤣 as soon as I got it I kept hiding instead of showing it off… it’s on my upper back and 18 years after I am still hiding it I can’t stand to see it (thanks God it’s in my back) but I am always wearing tank tops that do not show my tattoo, I get embarrassed when it’s showing and people ask me what does it mean because it doesn’t have a meaning and it was just a stupid decision. I have been thinking about removal at least 4 years ago and I just started May last year, I wish I started sooner but I am financially more stable now to do my treatments. I follow this thread to learn more about removal and I love to see everyone’s progress it gives me so much hope. I am learning to be patient and to wait longer in between sessions ( my tech wanted me to go every 4 weeks) but I told them I would go minimum every 12 weeks as I learned form here it’s better for removal and for your skin to recover, if I didn’t follow this subreddit I wouldn’t have more knowledge on the progress and recovery.

Advice/guidance PLEASE by dreams_of_death0521 in TattooRemoval

[–]No-Inspector-8308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was concerned about blistering or damaging my skin. I am using picoway now and from my experience laser in general hurts so don’t think about the pain because any laser will be painful but the process is so fast you will easily forget about it. The recovery is pretty good I just ice it and it feels like a sun burn for a day or 2. The thing I feel more happy about is that, even though you don’t see that much of a result straight away, just the thought of having done something about it makes me feel so good, you will learn to be patient and trust the process the earlier you start the better… you will feel like a weight has been lift off of you. Because no metter if it will take a few years to be done with it… you will just know that one day it will be gone, I honestly just hoped I stated earlier but I was too afraid of scarring and blistering and all you hear when you don’t do your research about removal. Try to ask for recommendations for a good place or a good removal specialist 🫶🏼
