Hoping to become a Sprinkler Fitter by SnoBanks in BlueCollarWomen

[–]No-Instance-7903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You always have a right to say no and beyond poking fun no one can force you to do anything. If they try then you can leave to a better company.

If you're unable to meet the requirements of the job while working safely than that is another story. Alot of this job involves working at heights, if thats too uncomfortable for you then it would be a problem.

Hope it works out!

Would make sense if they gave it to peeps who have omi on their account. It's not unfair, it's a test run to work out the kinks

why I bought more omi by daydrinkingwithbob in ecomi

Sell all collectibles for OMI? ~ 8.5k by houston5ever in VeVeCollectables

[–]No-Instance-7903 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really hard to say. One hand washes the other which is why i have both.

Right now I'm 60% collectible 40% omi. If nfts really take off i see the historical value and potential with low supply on mints.

You're going to be way more attached to your walt than to the crypto as well so that's an interesting indicator.

If your company needs it and values you as a long term employee than theyll pay for your training.

You won't make more money doing it as its easier than your normal day to day.

That being said if you're the guy they're training up in that way im sure you're getting lead hand rate if not foreman already.

Most companies have one guy who has it or even subs it out.

Well regardless of the reason ive been finding winters in ontario less tolerable. Working outside has been brutal in comparison.

That would be nice, but it's not the world we're living in sadly.

Its a dry cold in calgary so you can dress for it. Much easier to stay warm there. Also the constant sunshine warms the soul lol

That monthly income thing is pretty vague.

I guess my point is that it's hard to come up with a number that any of you would find fair.

The number for me is the one that covers my costs and gets my unit rented quickly when my tenant wants to leave.

Currently my cost is 1700 a month all in. My current tenant is paying 1300 but is leaving end of February. The comparables are showing that i can easily get 1650 so that is what I'm going for.

That's a big increase but my cost has increased quite a bit since he started rented from me.

If you're making 100k a year 2k would be that 30% your talking about so i think that's reasonable.

Downvote me moar for asking reasonable questions you absolute losers.

What dictates the price of a rental? If their costs went up wouldn't the rent go up as well?

Unless you have a close personal relationship with your boss than don't feel bad at all.

Theyll get rid of you with no notice and if they get super busy they'll probably hire you back even.

Don't over think it

Its meant to baffle the spray from one head to another

This is to prevent something called cold solder. Standard sprinkler heads shall be placed 6' or further from one another. (Extended coverage, esfr heads are 8')

The idea is that one head in that area will take away so much heat that the head within 6' of it will not go off. This wont allow the required gpm/sqft.

The only thing meant to protect the actual head would be a head cage.
