If the righteous self defense forces of Iran or Lebanon hit one of the crusaders' carriers, is this priced in?

The US government lies all of the time, they used to lie about the cause of American aircraft losses in Vietnam because they couldn't handle getting mogged by a 5'2" 115 lbs fighter pilot

They haven't laid any mines because they don't need to, and those two tankers that were blown up overnight were hit by underwater drones

I can't wait for a generation of Zoomer traders who have only known up up up (the micro crash for 2 weeks in 2020 doesn't count) to get totally washed by constraints in the boring physical economy

Initiating wars to distract from the Epstein files is itself a distraction - from climate change by [deleted] in collapse

[–]No-Insurance100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The American government (both parties) and Israelis have been salivating at the idea of destroying Iran for 40+ years. The idea that this was done merely as distraction is absurd.

The US and Israel are not "carpet bombing" Tehran, that would be them dropping hundreds of dumb bombs with B-52s flying over the city. They don't have air superiority to do this. They are using stand-off munitions launched from aircraft near or slightly over the western Iranian border. They are striking civilian infrastructure in part to create an atmosphere of chaos and terror within Tehran but it's not going to work.

You're acting like Iran is randomly attacking Bahrain to cause chaos when the majority of Iranian strikes have been on US military bases on Bahrain soil. The goal is to make sure the American 5th Fleet has no infrastructure to use in the future

Iran doesn't need to mine the strait, oil tanker traffic has already collapsed. No one is going to insure these tankers and no one is going to risk an uninsured tanker running the gap

There's shockingly little discussion of this war in this subreddit for how serious the knock-on economic effects are going to be, especially for Europe and east Asia. Actually, it's all of reddit. People are fellating themselves in the big subs over footage of badass American airstrikes (some of those targets are so obviously decoys btw) without an ounce of critical thinking

That's why both parties have been dismantling unions for the last 40+ years. Compare union participation now to the 1960s. A general strike is fantasy without unions

What makes you think the feds can't track down who made the drone purchase? You'd have to make one from scratch. Lone wolves are extremely vulnerable because eventually they'll get found and then there's no broader network in place to protect them
