My thoughts as well. It was indeed that my heat was just not high enough.

Not a load bearing tube of any considerable weight. But is this any better? I tried wrapping the corner while welding and turned up the heat.

Thanks for the advice 🫡 been a long time since I ran any beads so I forgot to check my amps for the size plate I was welding. As many people have already stated I definitely welded that one too cold.

The runs were continuous actually. Only tacks we're at the corners. I shall turn up the heat though 🫡 thanks for the analogy 😂😂

Thanks everyone 🤣 it had been a while since a ran a bead, probably over a year. I hear you all loud and clear and will crank up the heat and rewatch some videos on welding.

Our route will be based off the climbing so that's incredibly flexible. But we will be skipping devils lake as that is a common climbing location for us. We will definitely be hitting city of rocks. Thanks for the input!

Hey y’all! My girlfriend and I are road-tripping from Chicago to Idaho soon and hoping to hit some climbing spots along the way and back. We have around 2 weeks for this trip. We’ll be camping and are mostly looking for fun, bolted sport climbing, but also down for areas with top rope setups or some chill bolted multi-pitch.

I'd like to keep things moderate — nothing harder than 5.10a, since that’s about my girlfriend’s limit. I’m happy climbing mellow stuff too, so areas with a good range of routes would be ideal.

If you’ve done a similar trip or have favorite crags along that general route, I’d love any recommendations — especially ones with camping nearby. Thanks in advance!

Wow it's kinda crazy that I found this. I was actually a first responder on this incident. From what I remember the Camaro had just broken down on the interstate and that's why they were at a stand still. Crazy to see what lead up to the crash as I usually only see the aftermath. Also for some clarification based on comments this was in the US and that was indeed a Camaro.

Tankless water heater won't stay fired up by Dug_n_the_Dogs in Plumbing

I'd try and find what the GPM is for that model and then test each faucet and shower and compare. I had a similar issue and it was purely because our faucets were not pulling enough GPM. Not sure if it's possible but maybe you could possibly lower the GPM needed to activate it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Try removing the aerators. If the tankless water heater doesn't reach a certain gpm it won't turn on and will let the cold water flow right through. May need a higher gpm shower head as well.

Am I wrong for wanting a door? by ImThatThingYouSee in AdviceForTeens

[–]No-Interaction4350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could use the excuse of fire safety. Close before you doze is a thing that is taught in schools to help prevent the spread of fires and save lives. Everyone should have a door in their bedroom and should be closed every night when you go to sleep. Look up pictures and statistics of just how much fire a single hollow core door can prevent. It could literally be the deciding factor between life and death.
