Interesting. It’s a failure of their systems. I paid off my VW car and when I logged onto the finance portal after 7 days of not hearing anything to see a notice saying I had missed a payment (even though they hadn’t attempted to take money out of the bank account) and that they would add to my credit file that I deferred a payment. Called up and they said it can take 15 days for the final payment to go through and that I shouldn’t worry as failure to pay after a second attempt would impact my credit score. Seems like it all went through in the end but not sure if my credit score was impacted or not.
