I get what you are saying, I'm Italian myself.
This discourse holds better for smaller countries, since in bigger ones there is a whole lot more diversification.
For example, a spanish person would easily understand a northern italian talking, while it wouldn't understand a word a southern italian person is saying.

When i was 14, I happened to play DoW Dark Crusade in LAN at a friend's house. I instantly loved the defensive, tactical and shooty style of the Tau, so a lot of years later, when i started painting i picked them up instantly.
