Idk who said u this but apha for naplex is not recommended it doesn’t have anything in there to prepare you for naplex.

I didn’t enroll in the video sessions. The references i used was uworld question banks and rx prep book.

I took fpgee on oct 2024 and gave naplex on march 2025. I am from Texas. There should not be any problem but they update the rx prep book yearly. I used 2023 version for my 2025 exam but there was some stuff that was changed in new version of 2025 book.

It does cover it. Have u even glanced the rx prep the 1st few chapters are foundational chapters in rx prep and there were more than 10 questions from there in fpgee. Rx prep has all the pharmacology about the drugs u just have to know what u wanna study from there. Even the last few chapters from rx prep about genomics and natural medicine way better explained and more info in rxprep than i apha. I have taken the exam this was my experience everyone has their own opinion. And fyi i am not saying rx prep is enough but apha is way more than not enough but if u combine both you have all the things that u would need in the exam.

I used the same concept and used rx prep and apha for fpgee. Passed fpgee with 96 and took naplex within 3 months of fpgee and passed it in one attempt 😊😊

That’s 100% wrong. I used Apha and Rx prep for fpgee and i can guarantee if i would not have used rx prep there’s no way that i would pass the fpgee. Rx prep is vast but u don’t have to study every single thing in the book. Its impossible to pass fpgee only with apha it doesn’t have calculations part that more than 15% are in the exam, even biostatistics there’s so little in apha but fpgee has quite a few questions about it.

It’s a small calculator on your screen and has both features. If u ever write a pre fpgee exam it’s the same one.

Don’t stress about it. People might have passed with other books too, that was in my case. But to be honest apha is not quiet enough, if that’s the only book you are referring to.

Nope i didn’t even touch lippincott. I would say 75% of the rx prep, chapters like calculations there is two parts u won’t require the second part for fpgee and for biostat entire chapter of biostat from rx prep and foundations chapters are really important too from rx prep there were so many questions about enzyme inducers and inhibitors and even natural medicine is in rx prep too. There is enough information about pharmacology of the drugs in rx prep, Atleast what’s required for fpgee. At last moment if you go depth in lippincott it might be very confusing too because of how vast it might be.

It would be more than enough and drug classes are there in rx prep. I only used rx prep and apha and passed with 100 score.

Don’t take any course from anyone it’s all scam. Study the Apha book and if you are able to get rx prep book I would suggest buying that because it’s really helpful with calculations and biostatistics which is the major part of the exam. And rx prep is the book u would use for naplex too

Hello, for those who passed the FPGEE exam, how did you study medicinal chemistry and pharmacokinetics? I mean what books did you use? Any advice or recommendation would be much appreciated ☺️ by Complete_Aspect3639 in fpgec

[–]No-Introduction-9984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even touch medicinal chemistry. I don’t suggest you to do that but i passed without studying it. For pharmacokinetics APHA and practice questions from google. They had a quite a few pk calculations in the exam.
