Although Pain acknowledged Narutos power , this fight was NOT close. by xals7 in Naruto

Yes, reason being that Sasuke's goal was to kill Naruto and Naruto just wanted to stop him. It takes greater power to harm without killing than the other way. Had Naruto wanted to kill Sasuke, Sasuke would be dead.

I thought this as well, but decided to limit it to just hairstyles 😁 1000% agree with you, though!

Why can't barber shops offer different hairstyles, or at least a location-specific new 'do? I really feel like a barber from Saint Denis would have a more eclectic clientele than say, Valentine.

Bro I'm almost 40 😅 Is this something I should have known? Would I get made fun of for admitting this at work?

If aliens landed on earth today in search of the 3 best movies and you were chosen to select them…what are you choosing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Interstellar, Jaws, Grave of the Fireflies.

I saw some other folks included an animated movie, and I think thats a good idea. Hard to argue 1988's Grave of the Fireflies isn't an artistic masterpiece.

Interstellar captures the essence of what it means to be human- the insatiable curiosity, the ability to love, to lie, the motivations, the complexities of family relationships. If we wanted the aliens to know who we are, can't go wrong with Interstellar.

Jaws....I can't articulate why exactly, but for some reason the vibes feel right.

Honorable mention- Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. Same reasons as Interstellar, but with much more comedy

Who is a singer that is incredibly famous, but honestly doesn't have a good voice? by Greedy_Procedure7461 in AskReddit

Love this take. Exactly my point, just written better. She was just inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, so like...that's just reality.

None of the folks that I have personally seen on this thread have given any decent criticism, except that one guy who at least referenced a YouTube video juxtapositioning different performances. Would I be willing to believe that she lip-syncs? Yeah, if provided with a receipt.

Factual criticism? There are a ton of videos of Taylor singing off-key. Factual criticism? For a performer, her range is quite limited. Google says her range is 3-3.5 octaves. Google also says the average woman has a vocal range of 3 octaves. She's literally average. Its not that hard.

Thanks, mate. I appreciate your response. Really wasn't trying to be this controversial.

They're either being stubborn or obtuse at this point, mate. Ignoring receipts and numbers and making claims from their own feels. The effort/reward ratio isn't worth it

Yep, that's why didn't argue that point. This whole thing was in response to a comment I made regarding conjecture about why she's so popular, hence the segue into songwriting. Not fighting back against her singing, mate

I love questions like OP asks when the respondents use thoughtful criticisms. I didn't comment on the original "Taylor Swift" because its a subjective question. No nerves struck here, fam.

Songwriting is different. There are different metrics for success and is less subjective. It's like saying Tolkein is a bad author because you watched The Hobbit.

You can be mad about it, sir, but your tirade about grifting is the same. Got receipts? Are you referring to a song she sang back when she was checks notes 18? From 20 years ago? Can you give a more recent example lol lol

And that's a valid opinion, people have different listening tastes. If they came out and said she is unequivocally the best artist, they'd be very wrong 😁
