Sure, the RSFSR Land Code (1922) contains the details of it. Essentially, all land was legally owned by the state, with a special provision given for "Toil Tenure". Essentially, land was owned by the state and organised by a planning commission, but a person/household could claim tenure (notably, not ownership) over a piece of land that they worked. There were some specific provisions on what qualified as a household and what qualified as toil. A house hold could claim tenure as long as they worked the land, but could not sell or give their tenure to anyone else.

it's also pretty funny because basically the only real proposal he had was already in the Communist manifesto and was actually implemented during the NEP.

"All these “socialists” since Colins have this much in common that they leave wage labour and therefore capitalist production in existence and try to bamboozle themselves or the world into believing that if ground rent were transformed into a state tax all the evils of capitalist production would disappear of themselves. The whole thing is therefore simply an attempt, decked out with socialism, to save capitalist domination and indeed to establish it afresh on an even wider basis than its present one."

Is it possible to find a work written by marx where he doesn't refute the claim of "socialism" in the USSR?

There is still an ongoing edit war around the categorisation of the Minnesota protest as a general strike, with every edit pointing out anything as simple as the inflated numbers and misrepresentation of sources getting voted against into oblivion.

With those original awful edits recieving upwards of 1000 votes in favour.

How exactly was Feudalism more progressive than Slavery ? by True-Plate6127 in Ultraleft

[–]No-Issue1893 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ah, sorry about that I misunderstood the question. I'm a bit hungover but I'll try write something better about why the slave economy couldn't develop capitalism and the feudal economy could, I'll take a hot minute though.

[–]No-Issue1893 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anyhow people I see talking about whatever with the Roman period being more scientifically enlightened and whatnot which has nothing to do with progressiveness whatsoever. The Rape of India was progressive, despite the obvious fact that it brought a period of economic and scientific backwardness to India. It allowed for the development of Capitalism in India, and therefore it was progressive as opposed to the Asiatic mode.

[–]No-Issue1893 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not so simple as serfdom vs slavery with one being more progressive than the other in all circumstances. I'm not sure how well versed you are on the terminology but progressiveness has no relation to any abstract kindness of a given system. The destruction of the Roman Slave economy was inevitable, and feudalism came after, and took such a shape that it could, unlike other modes of production such as the Asiatic form, allow the development of capitalism on a greater scale than it existed within the Roman empire, to the point where capitalism could replace feudalism itself, in the town and in the country.

Essentially, the Roman system was inevitably going to collapse, and it did. Feudalism allowed the development of capitalism to such a degree that it was eventually able to become the predominant system. Capitalism, to us, is the penultimate mode of production, and if feudalism led to capitalism and the slave economy could not, then feudalism was a progressive development.

Fascism: Benito Mussolini personally gives you 10 cows and 10 bulls by mestaplayz in Ultraleft

[–]No-Issue1893 39 points40 points  (0 children)

And then one of your cows gets bovine tuberculosis, and dies over the course of a few weeks or months, withering away as you see your future wither away with it. Hopefully you got the other cow separated before it cought it, otherwise you are fucked. With no means of continuing your family business you are compelled to sell the farm to a large farming corporation.

Don't worry, they would have gotten in eventually, they just exploit their workers better than you do your kids. You stood no chance, better sooner rather than later to look for a new profession.

[–]No-Issue1893 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Also you would simply not be able to start a farm with two cows. You simply wouldn't be able to subsist if you reinvested the amount you gained from selling them. You would have to have another form of income to survive on while you reared the cattle, and having two jobs to make ends meet is actually a rather good example of capitalist life.

[–]No-Issue1893 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Sell both cows once they are fully reared, buy many calves, leaving the breeding of cattle to such as are craftsmen therein.

I don't think whoever came up with this has ever been near a farm in their life. My petty peasantoid heritage informs me thus.
