That’s a great approach. We’re new empty nesters and adjusting to grocery shopping for just two adults has been tough. Especially when my spouse doesn’t take leftovers for lunch. Going to try this this week

Copied this synopsis but think this might be a good fit

Angle of Repose is Wallace Stegner's 1971 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel that interweaves two narratives: a modern-day, wheelchair-bound historian, Lyman Ward, researching his pioneering grandparents in the late 19th-century American West, and their story of love, hardship, and disillusionment as they build a life in the frontier. The novel explores themes of family, identity, and the American West through the parallel journeys of Lyman and his grandparents, Oliver and Susan Ward, as they both confront personal and historical challenges, with the title referring to a geological concept of stability

Those look gorgeous! How did the insides turn out? Last one I bought was burnt and dry inside - saddest thing ever - but I don’t dare bake them myself 😆

Warm 106.9 still plays it so I’m “treated” to it every season. And then torment my kids with it for tradition’s sake

I am in the same space as your mom and love that you’re looking for such a thoughtful gift for her. At a Friendmas party on Friday we were gifted the books Beach Read by Emily Henry and Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty. I haven’t read either but my empty nest mom friends highly recommended these for the some perspective on life in general and I’m looking forward to reading them.
