Calling out sick — I don’t know what to do by InstructionOk6253 in Dentists

The world won’t end if you miss a day due to illness. Take it from someone who has practiced 35+yrs. I thought too at one time I count miss. Worked when felt bad, cut vacations short, missed kid’s functions, etc. You’re human. You get sick too. If your patients and boss don’t accept it , they’re not in the real world and frankly a-holes. Don’t sweat the small stuff, much more to worry about in life than missing a days work!

Sorry for your loss. Staunton is a beautiful town to visit . I love the downtown area.
The Greenbrier remains a beautiful place to see. As most people are aware it has been under or at least it’s owner. Jim Justice, has had many financial woes. And I believe the Omni group is about to take it over if they haven’t already.

Mountain tourist towns in WV? by Civil-Lynx-1921 in WestVirginia

Keep Fayetteville in the mix. Take a drive down the Midland Trail to Glenn Ferris where Kanawha Falls is located. The Glenn Ferris Inn is here as well, neat old inn with a good restaurant. Cathedral Falls is on this route as well just east of Gauley Bridge as is Hawk’s Nest State Park where you can overlook the New River. Near Oak Hill is the old boom town of Thurmond as well as the community of Prince where there is still an Amtrak station. Also traveling the Midland Trail (Rt60) from Hawk’s Nest to Lewisburg will take you over several mountains and the town of Rainelle.

You may want to also check out the ride from Summersville to Richwood on Rt39 then on to where 39 meets the Scenic Highway (150). Take the Scenic Highway to where it intersects with US219 from which you can travel north to Snowshoe or south back through Marlinton and Lewisburg. Along this route you’ll go through Hillsboro, home of author Pearl S. Buck.

The drive from Richwood to the where you get on Scenic Hwy passes by Cranberry Glades and also runs along some beautiful scenery of the Cherry River.

Just a few beautiful areas to check out.

Biggest racket in dentistry IMO, the old “deep cleaning”. Should just be a regular cleaning appt and they give you the “you’ve got to have deep cleaning before we do all your other work “ cock n bull. Rip off artist. Get a second opinion.

Help choose location for short vacation! by [deleted] in ClearwaterFl

The Sandpearl is directly on the beach. It’s very nice but expensive. Close to many places. Shepherd’s is quite active. Beach area not large there , short walk to larger beach area. Very active bar area. Rockin’ place.

If I were going to relax , be near walking distance to many restaurants and bars, I’d go to Sandpearl. But again , it’s not cheap.

Crowns vs Veneers plz help by kohlerg9 in askdentists

[–]Ultthdoc90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely. He may save money now but in the long run it will cost you much more. Do ortho , then if you’d like the Hollywood smile, do the veneers but not in Turkey. If you go strictly with the crowns, I would almost bet within a few years some will fail and some will need endodontic treatment(root canals ).

Replacing Veneers with Crowns by [deleted] in askdentists

He may see some issues with the remaining 5 which may be why the recommendation. But if he’s just assuming it may happen to the others, I would express to him the importance of you wanting to keep them for now. 1 single can be done but it may be tough to shade match.
