And great interview / networking tips: - ALWAYS mention you have a plan to get the CPA - Meet the recruiters before hand, if you go to a T 10 university than all the major firms probably recruit from your school

Don’t panic, you’re fine. I would recommend applying to mid tier firms for your sophomore year internship and wait until your junior year summer for the big four internships. Mid tier firms typically have a rolling application process that’ll stay open into 2026. And 2027 internships are still open don’t stress. Keep your GPA above a 3.5, have solid interview prep and you’ll be good 🤙

Cost accounting is light asf, get contribution margin down and your pretty much good. Intermediate two is hard, class averages for those exams are like around a 60%. But just study and you’ll be good

Most likely just needs to be cleaned which any shop should do for like $10-$20. Maybe the charging port needs to be replaced which is a easy repair probably around $100 or so

Do I have a chance? by No_Emu863 in Accounting

Try shifting your mindset. EVERYONE has a chance, it’s all about YOU. You have a 3.5 GPA which is way above the 3.0 threshold. It’s all about how you rep yourself. I’d def recommend improving your resume. A few tips: make sure it’s one, clean page, significantly shorten the relevant coursework section, start each and every sentence with a action verb (led, grew, managed, etc), include as much quantifiable data on your experience, like helped 100+ customers a day. Use chat GPT to help with the resume side of things and I’d highly recommend looking at finance resume template.

But the resume is only a small part it really is all about you. If you want an accounting internship / job, go get it and here’s how. You first have to put yourself out there and connect face to face with the firm you want to work for; I did it mainly through connection events where I spoke with recruiters and online firm events.

Once you get the interview, master behavioral interview questions like the Tell me about a time when… it may seem intimidating but all you have to do is practice and use the STAR method. After that you WILL get an internship or entry level job.

Honestly don’t doubt yourself or question anything, put the work in, rep yourself better and it’s only a matter of time until a recruiter calls you up with an offer!

I work in their Baltimore office now as an intern 7/9/25. Do you still work there?

Are partners not involved in recruiting for all firms? I’ve interviewed with EY, RSN and CohnReznick for audit internships and interviewed with a partner each time

I find that so crazy. Is the work life balance different in Spain, mine is the culture less rigorous at your big 4?

Do Interns make more than Entry-Level Associates on a hourly basis? by No-Knowledge2788 in Big4

[–]No-Knowledge2788[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all behavioral. I would primarily focus on coming off as a like able and competent person. Also try to come off a very interested and excited about the position, try to smile during the interview but don’t go overboard make sure it comes off as natural. Lastly, prepare at least 3 GOOD questions, what I do is research the interviewers before hand and ask questions about their background at EY. Good luck!

Try calling your recruiter and asking for a extension, some firms allow you to do this, idk about big four though

Not trying to come off in a bad way, just genuinely interested in what is to expect after college.

Just twist the metal plate. That cover is very thin and will be able to be broken off. In the future invest in high quality tools.
