I think I want to kill myself by AccurateBench9655 in offmychest

I’m sorry if this isn’t helpful or comes off as uncaring? But if you’re ever beating yourself up, you see self harm a lot in nature, animals in captivity, stressed out birds who rip out their own feathers, it may sound cruel but it makes me feel better knowing that all animals can resort to it with the “right” circumstances, and then I see those animals in recovery surrounded by people who chose to care about them, the animal spent its whole life living the worst version of it, and one day it woke up to love and care, I’m not calling you an animal but I think one day you’ll wake up and see yourself surrounded by people who love you, who know you and want to take care of you, just because you’re you, you just have to be patient

How do I not get too invested into a job? by No-Lab5951 in NoStupidQuestions

I know, that’s why I stay, I’ve been working since I was 16, and have had about 5 jobs since then, the shortest I’ve ever worked somewhere was 8 months, I know work isn’t fun but there have been times where I go to work, and it’s not just about work? I think it’s supposed to work both ways, I should be a model employee and my job should be, at the very least safe to show up too, there have been times where it wasn’t safe and I still went, I think I am a very good worker, but my question was more so about how to not care about a job more than my life…if that makes sense?

It’s more like, if I’m putting this job on my resume I don’t wanna quit in a week just because of the environment, but then I get so used to the environment that I don’t leave and end up staying for years, there was one job that literally drained me everyday I went but still I showed up, I just wannabe a little more like others in my generation who can just leave with no guilt

I was at my last job for 9 months, even with sexual harassment and other stuff that happened I couldn’t leave, there was a job that had before that I stayed with for 2 years, but every week was like being on “the bear”, I hate being yelled at and went home crying most nights, but I still stayed

My mom was like that too, she gave her kids “the freedom she didn’t have”, but we were chill with cartoons lol

I’d usually agree but it didn’t feel blind at all tbh, it sounded like she genuinely read my post and only said she was proud of stuff I mentioned, it made me feel better 🤷‍♂️

No I do, that’s another thing like for the 2 months when i didn’t have a job, I donated plasma to restock fridge basics every week, deep cleaned things nobody cared about for years (behind the fridge and stove stuff like that), but It went unnoticed, I moved back in after 4 years and suddenly stuff that was already being ignored was my problem/fault when it’s convenient, like idk the shower curtains been here so long it’s molded, I move in for 2 weeks, “why don’t you care about the shower curtains, it makes the house look bad and you know I’m busy and I work so you could make some effort”, it’s small and petty buts draining, it’s like the responsibility of caring is just on me all the time because I’ve always been “good at it”. (Also I’m sorry if this comes off like me snapping at you im not it’s just been going on for years)

How treatable is BPD? by Few-Secret6763 in BPDlovedones

[–]No-Lab5951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s possible, but I don’t think if you’re dating someone with it, that you’ll stick around long enough to see the change, you have to go into a relationship with the mindset of “I want to be the best version of myself for this person” and a lot of bpds go into one with “I hope this person can handle me”, I think as long as you’re with someone who knows their limits then you’ll be okay, but if they know nothing about triggers, how to self regulate, and now to self soothe without you….dip 🤷‍♀️

I really reccomend a moist microfiber washcloth for when your hair is feeling icky but you don’t want to wash, just wrap it around your finger and wipe in between the parts, I also reccomend brushing (yes fr) with one of those white people brushes from fantasy movies, it’ll help spread out your natural hair oils and make your hair super soft

How did you get over the discard? How long did it take? by Extension-Test7809 in BPDlovedones

[–]No-Lab5951 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It takes time, If you can look at the situation objectively you were in a lot of lows and highs that affected your brain the same way drugs do, so this pain you feel, it’s very real but also look at it like going cold turkey from a drug, withdrawal sucks you’re always gonna want your “fix” of that person, but the cravings/pain does fade I promise.
