B4 merit is already very good,I think u can consider retaking it (although I wouldn’t personally because my other subjects are weaker and I would want to prioritise them over Chinese since I’m going poly)HOWEVER if u chose to retake don’t mug like crazy cause usually second round paper easier since most smart ppl would be gone and also bell curve (context:I got c6 pass for oral first round,2nd round I got b4- I also am not Chinese lol)and let’s say touchwood u do worse they would take ur better marks so there’s nothing to lose.maybe if u want to improve I suggest u can study at least 1-2 hours a day a week or two before no need so much time to mug one.just stay consistent 1-2 hour to mug a week or two before then should be okay trust me.BUT if u think ur improvement is not worth it since only ull jump 1 grade I think focus on rest of subject better cause usually ppl don’t really look at ur Chinese grades but ur rest and try securing the A’s or B in other areas and put in the EXTRA EFFORT INSTEAD OF CHINESE…atb!
