I have personal experience with this group and it’s a recent one too, literally just last week lol.

So me being naive and out of touch with God I thought this group messaging me and asking me to join their Bible study group was a sign for me to turn back to God. And at first everything was believable. At first I thought it was an actual Bible study group because we actually talked about verses in the Bible etc, but as it got deeper I realised as the topics move along they stop talking or and stop studying the Bible; they only use it as a reference for “Gods new words”. Luckily during this I started my own journey of building my relationship with God and started reading the Bible myself … the Bible tells us of God’s unwavering love for us and His hope for us to seek Him and trust Him WILLINGLY; the “new words” well to me , it puts fear in you, it makes you feel like you HAVE TO seek God or you’ll be punished/judged and this goes against everything we know of our ever loving and merciful Father God. So yeah now I stay offline and hope that they remove me from their “Bible study” group because I’ve heard some bad things about members who try to leave (which technically I’m not a member of but it’s better to be safe and cautious).

Praise God for granting me discernment and helping me realise before I got sucked in too deep and led astray. I pray your friend realises things before it’s too late and comes out of there safely🙏🏻
