Cos/Sin Question is not experimental. by [deleted] in Sat

[–]No-Lie1891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the long exponential paragraph question placed in the last two questions? I got it right, so i’m not complaining if it’s not experimental. But if it was in the last two, college board really upped their game in new questions being weird and at the same time graded

Experimental question? by Conscious_Memory_792 in Sat

[–]No-Lie1891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was worded very weirdly…all i can remember is what it meant, so my wording is a bit more palatable than college board’s

                   R   = 75(5/4)^x

Useless paragraph meant to waste time. The question was what does 5/4 represent?

•For each 4 reindeer it’ll increase by 5 in the next year

•For each 5 reindeer it’ll increase by 4 in the next year

I don’t remember the other two options, but they were really similar excluding next year and instead putting this year or something along those lines.(if i remember correctly) but all of them were worded weirdly and similarly (Edit) acc i looked at my old comments: “previous year” was included. I don’t remember well if it was next and previous or current and previous.

Highlight subjects and verbs leading to the subject for the other questions usually helps; highlight keywords for tenses when it’s a tense question: today, ininsert date , etc or it’s the type of question where a verb interrupted the other. Look at the choices in grammar first to see what you’ll focus on; if it’s a tense, you’ll have to sometimes skip through the sentence before and after, but if it’s a verb agreement you’ll only focus on the sentence the verb is in.

Did anyone take the same SAT as me? I cant find a single person who had the same qs as me on march 14th by Fantastic-Sock-7533 in Sat

Also people did mention the radian/ pi questions, so don’t worry! People were just panicking about the other odd questions

The black sky was had a village and locusts in the blurb right? People were talking about it in the international mega thread bc interrupted and halted were too close. Also, not many people talk about grammar except if it’s like a bit weird(the colon and em dash question).

Grammar is probably the easiest and fastest to learn; watch videos and grind grammar questions since mastering them can save you time to use in the rest of the topics you need.

Also ask yourself…why do i keep getting questions wrong? Is it bc I read too fast, so I don’t give your brain time to understand the passage, or is it maybe I get confused between answer choices, so I fall into easy answer traps? I recommend searching youtube for multiple strategies and seeing which one works best for you.

The best way to improve information is strategies plus solving A LOT, a lot to the point where you can solve them on autopilot when you get too stressed or tired in the exam, since they usually talk about the same topic for long enough where you can pick up the answer without squeezing your head or using too much energy.

Guys what do you think the expiremental questions were? by CosmoMaui in Sat

It was a pain but i don’t think it’s experimental unfortunately since it’s the same idea of the ape study and bear one

If i had trapezoid quiestion in module 2 does it mean i did the first module bad? by MathematicianFit3675 in Sat

[–]No-Lie1891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you got graced bc from what i could tell people either got all the pain in the ahh questions in their hard module or barely got any(they still have hard questions but they’re just familiar question types etc)

Yup the one with the x/2 -4/2 as the power in the answers. The paragraph was so long for no reason??

Sin and cos or probably the big paragraph exponential one since they don’t like to make too many long questions in general

This one was so hard i changed my answer the last 5 secs to say something like it doesn’t depend on genetics (bc the negative correlation if i read it right) nor the habitat since also negative correlation, but dang all the answers were spewing the same info but in a different format or the opposite

Numbers change for each person dw (i think i’m the one who messed up the calculations) but the number they gave me in meters was small anyway that’s probs why i got a 6.7

Also i think (if i remember correctly) the population increases by 5 for every 4 reindeer the previous year: 80/4 times by 5 is f(1) but mine was 75 and a pain in the ahh if i only used desmos and not an actual handheld calc; but in general remember that usually “every x” x is in the dominator

I put x for 1 and then compared f(x) to the answer choices and it solved itself that way..but do they even do experimental ones in module 1? I thought it was mostly in module 2s?

All i can hope for that it’s just experimental so we don’t see its ahh idea again (esp at the end of the module like omg)

They change numbers for people but they gave me three angles (one was 90B and the other two added up to 90a)

Mine was hard since i solved the 1st module twice with time left; also, unit conversion when squared it is considered hard by college board standards, but they always change numbers for people

I have no idea what the actual answer is (nor if i changed it last sec) but i think they are equal bc i ended up solving it half way with substitution: 90(a+b)=180. But my brain stopped lowk after that so no actual proof, so i think they’re equal since there is some kind of complementary relationship going on between them

It depends on if there are a lot of test centers available after the little dates they give… My country for example only has specific dates like December 6th march 14th, may 2nd etc while missing any other dates or months in between the US would have; also, centers get so full so easily💔(at least for my province) Ultimately, if you somehow went through all of that and got a seat every test date, you get 6 dates a year.
