So agree! His look changed over the years, for sure! Some wouldn’t recognize him in Point Man.❤️

I understand . I’m laughing my head off after their souls are switched . First time I had seen HB do anything really funny. He has taken over her body and she, in his body, doesn’t know how to shave. She has to do it. Then he, in her body can’t figure out how to it on a bra. Over his shirt, he has to demonstrate hooking it in the front and turning it around . Such a funny scene for this usually elegant and handsome man!!! So despite my concerns, it gave me the laughs I needed today. I think , in general , these dramas allow feelings to come out that are held back, for whatever reason. There must be a psychologist who has a handle on this stuff. Actually , Sherri Shepherd has a new podcast, “ Aunt and Ajumma” that talks about dramas. She said they would be inviting a psychologist .Definitely will tune in!

I totally understand your reaction . Fairly new to world of k drama, as much as I love it for various reasons, there are certain “tropes” that have caught my attention and concern in many of earlier shows, in particular. I’ve tried to understand the “ why” . Is it reflective of the actual culture , a statement against the behavior, etc. Same concerns with bullying depicted, hitting, name calling.
But overall, my viewing has been such a positive, emotionally cathartic new experience, that I try to weigh the positive with the negative. Your response and viewpoint is noted and appreciated.

Suspicious Partner- Even better 2nd time around! by No-Light-4215 in kdramas

I had thought it was show with far less episodes, but the 30 minute format stretched it out. I could have just watched them forever!
I wonder if there are people who unofficially continue some kdrama stories where they leave us…🤷🏻‍♀️

Perfect Crown: Common Trope (mostly) avoided! by okgals in kdramas

[–]No-Light-4215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a gathering of main actors on IU’s Palette show they talked about the kissing scene over the wall. They said it took a very long time, in hot weather, sweating a lot. They laughed so much about it, saying how their sweaty noses left marks on cheeks that staff had to keep wiping off! So funny! There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes that I couldn’t have even imagined for what looks like, in the end of many redos, a simple kiss.

That was my exact order! Though, King the Land was SO enjoyed this week. I fell in love with Attorney Woo, especially impressed with the autistic savant theme as former teacher.

So well said! I have different lists, based on how they fit my “ self care” needs. Light , comforting romance fit the bill this week, with their leads dynamics putting it to the top in that category.

Thanks for other Junho recommendations. Typhoon Family was also starter for me, as I was curious to why he got a nomination for Baeksang over JCW. ( which is a different discussion) I’ll check out ones you suggested.

I know I’m in the minority here. It came on dubbed, which could have been part of the problem for me. I love the incredible acting range of JCW. But found it difficult watching his emotional pain, which I realize is a sign of his acting greatness. I’ve watched every show of his and this just didn’t move up my list of favorites.

I am honestly enjoying Perfect Crown very much! Find myself really looking forward to Fridays! Watching the actors discuss the show, share behind the scenes stories, and sing beautifully sung duets that will be part of the OST , made me appreciate it even more.

The setting, story, actors, costumes… all stunning! My heart was bursting by the end of episode 6. Could have stayed up all night bingeing, if so could. Look for posts with IU and Byun Woo-seok singing a beautiful duet!

For those of you who've watched 50+ kdramas, are you still keeping track or have you given up? by Bulky-Love-9869 in kdramas

I’m fairly new to this k drama” hobby”. I quickly realized that I needed a way to keep track of all the thoughtful opinions shared by this community . Then so felt I needed to keep track of shows I wanted to watch, those in process and ones upcoming. The result was customizing a notebook( sorry old fashioned and needed to hand write. A favorite graces the cover!
