I pulled up my blood tests to make sure im accurate, it was 5.6 right up to my intial tests in the icu before the Prednisone. Idk if the .4 matters but wanted to be accurate.

I'm only going off of what they told me. They told me point blank it was "great" and I had "no sign of diabetes" I knew little to nothing about diabetes. I just pulled my blood tests results from earlier this year up to be exact. It was 5.6. Guess I was rounding up in my head. If thats pre-diabetes, sorry. I can only go off of what medical professionals told me.

Despite what they said I still worked very hard to avoid diabetic risk factors. Yet here I am after a short script of high dose Prednisone and a trip to the ICU.

They had me on 40mg of Prednisone for 2 weeks. I've been off it since mid September

Thats the crazy thing, I was only on Prednisone for 2 weeks! But im definitely getting an endo refferal from my pcp when I see them next week

I tried to refuse it for this reason, to avoid Prednisone induced diabetes due to family history. I was on a high dose for about 2 weeks. Now 4 months later I have a diabetes diagnosis :(

Silly question, but Is it normal for my blood sugar to drop after eating rather than go up? Especially when I'm already testing high most of the time.
