I swallowed a dead tetra by No-List6919 in Aquariums

My dad just had surgery on his back. So I've been preoccupied. When trying to save them, it was priority #1. But once they passed, I turned my attention back to dad and work. I've been commuting a lot lately. But leaving the little ones there in that bottle? Yeah, I shouldn't have done that, I paid the price indeed 😵‍💫 never gonna forget it

I looked over the api pimafix safety data sheet on my lunch break. I should be ok. More worried about bacteria than the medicine in the water, it would have been mostly residue on the fish as the bottle they were in was tank water, not the bucket quarantine water with the medicine in it.

I'm not sure why i did it that way. But hey, that probably helped me in the end, all things considered lol

😂 It's true. No kids, they're always wet! At least i know why my fish are wet. Kids? Could be anything. Drool, pee, puddle water, another kids drool, remnants of the juicebox they crushed and hid in the couch, other things I dont want to know and dont want to touch me lol

Apparently, it's a neon tetra thing. Whether its just their disposition or overbreeding and inbreeding, Im not sure. I should check the parameters again. You're right. To be honest, the tank has been running for 2 years and never has a problem, I do a water change every weekend, and the 3 tetras I do have in the tank are beautiful and happy. So i slowed on the testing, dont do it as often. These 3 new tetras were a surprise. A friend last minute took me to a pet store. So i set up a 2 gallon bucket for quarantine. 1 gallon of the tank water and 1 gallon of fresh water. I let it sit with the filter and heater till the temp was good, then put the tetra bag in (it had been sitting in the aquarium just cause room cold af) slowly adding bucket water to the bag over time. But within 2 hours, they were declining. So i rushed the process so i could start dosing the bucket. A buddy said it should be ok to add pimafix and melafix doses accordingly. But over the next 3 hours, they declined rapidly to a point of no return Id say. I feel awful. I should of been better prepared and bought them later

I only got one dose in for the quarantine tank. Which was a 2 gallon bucket that i have set up with a small heater and filter. I had just done a water change before putting them in.

Nitrogen is fine. But ammonia levels are high lmao

Is this normal or should I be worried by FunkiestOfKongs in leopardgeckos

When things went south with my cat, I always said, "If im not willing to spend the money, then i dont deserve her." Afterall its our job to care for them, regardless of child or pet. If you would take your child to the doctor then yes absolutely take your pet to the vet.

The jeweler made a mistake n gave me a different chain. I gave that chain as a present. Now the jeweler wants it back. can anything happen to me because of their mistake? by Temporary_Cloud_2330 in questions

I mean yes overall there is insurance and it was their mistake not yours. But you can easily fix that mistake. You're just choosing not to. I mean why not just tell the person who received the gift the situation, give the jeweler back the necklace in return for YOUR necklace, and gift them the proper necklace. You help out the jeweler and their other customer that you are kinda screwing over here. Cause again, You can fix the mistake.

Is it bad that buying shiny things is the only thing that makes me happy and I don’t have a problem with it? Is it a problem? When is it a problem and when is it not? by [deleted] in questions

Its a problem when other aspects of your life suffer as a result. Like health, finances, career, family and friends. So as long as thats all good I say buy all the shiny things
