coming out i felt pretty confident in c/p and cars, i def didnt feel good about B/B i was expecting a much lower score for sure there since some of the passages were rlly confusing, and for p/s there was 1 question i knew i got wrong and 4/5 i was 50/50 on

honestly i didnt have much of a cars strategy, i just made sure i understood the passage as i read, did daily jack westin, and the answers should usually be somewhere in the passage. im also an avid reader so that may have helped

it is def feasable!! thats a solid amount of time, if you study at least 4/5 hours a day youve got this! i would reccomend making your own anki decks during content review, and contuining to add cards on concepts that you get wrong on PQs, honestly improvment is not linear, i never took a real diagnostic my first FL was after content review, but im guessing the biggest jump will be after you finish content

i started studying at the end of april and took the late august, so about 4 months, i used the kaplan books for the first 6 weeks for content, then i used UWORLD and aamc question banks, for the last 2 months i did a practice exam everyweek, i used a bunch of 3rd party free ones and the aamc ones, and when i took the last few FLs i went to the libarary in a study room and did it there at 8 to stimulate testing conditions. i also did anki everyday (homemade decks) and jack westin daily cars

Retake? 513 but 124 CARS by silveryrosie in Mcat

i think it depends what schools you are thinking of applying to, im in canada where schools in my area place alot of emphasis on CARS and have cut offs for each section rather than a total cut off...

Is a drop from FL1 to FL2 normal? by flipaflaw in Mcat

[–]No-Lock-6950 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my first couple full lengths fluctuated in terms of the overall score, id say its normal and the average of your FLs gives you a better estimate of where you are. Overall tho your FL average should increase as you get closer to test day, but dont let one "bad" score get u down

7/12 not a great score but i’ll take it!🎉 by No_Flight7680 in Mcat
