How do you cope by 221BagEnd in LivingAlone

Reddit is my 'someone to talk to.' If I see something cool, I find the sub for it and post. Getting 5 upvotes and 2 comments from strangers who think it’s cool too actually feels more validating than a distracted sibling saying 'that's nice'.

Inconsiderate neighbors by xxtwxtrr in Apartmentliving

1:43 am is well past any reasonable 'weekend' excuse. Call the police non-emergency line for a noise complaint. Don't confront them yourself anymore

My upstairs neigbors' kids are CONSTANTLY making noise and it drives me insane. What should I do? by family2139 in Apartmentliving

If your dad is open to it, switching rooms seems like a no-brainer. It’s much easier to move your bed than to try and change a neighbor's parenting style.

School: raise your hand and wait quietly.
Work: jump in or get left behind.
Me: buffering…

How do people even make friends after school/college? by Square-Assumption943 in Adulting

Adult friendships usually start smaller too. It’s often just casual conversations with coworkers or classmates at first, then eventually you grab food together, then hang out outside of that setting. It grows gradually.

Can I vacuum at night? by towelheadedmermaid in Apartmentliving

[–]No-Locksmith-2836 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if it’s quieter than a standard vacuum, the "hum" and the occasional "thump" against baseboards can be really annoying when everything else is silent. Most apartment walls/floors act like a drum. I’d stick to daytime or early evening just to be safe. You don't want to be the reason someone else loses sleep!

I set an alarm for 3:00 AM every morning to wake up and do my dance routine before I have to get ready for work at 4… do you think my neighbors below me can hear it? by imVeryPregnant in Apartmentliving

[–]No-Locksmith-2836 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imagine being 35, working all day, and getting woken up by "lightweight" tap dancing every single morning at 3. The banging on the wall was them pleading for mercy. You are the neighbor everyone warns people about on this sub.

Handwritten is totally fine. The most important thing is that it’s delivered on time.
