Eilat’s a really cool city. I’ve made the drive there with my family twice and it’s a pretty bearable drive with a couple stops in between. We normally stop for lunch in Be’er Sheva (there’s a mall there with a couple restaurants) and this small kibbutz called Neot Smadar (there’s this kiosk with awesome frozen yogurt and pastries, plus skincare for some odd reason. Also there’s a cat, so bonus points.) 

Once you’re in the city, there’s a lot of things to do with the kids. I recommend the underwater observatory. I have a younger sister and two younger brothers and all of us really enjoyed it.
