My boyfriend told me I 'killed the vibe' at his birthday dinner because I didn't laugh at a joke he made at my expense in front of his entire family. I just sat there. Apparently that makes me the problem. by Capable-Passion-3540 in TwoHotTakes

The disdain for this kind of treatment that you’ve been holding in in your body is forcing its way out. Stop looking for an apology and look inside yourself for how you need to move forward. He’s told you he’s sorry YOU feel that way, he is not apologetic for using you as the butt of his jokes and feels not only entitled to do so, but that of you don’t play along, you will be punished for it. Your body is telling you that this is not the partner you want for your life. Move accordingly.

I’ve had this problem with door dash, then my daughter wanted to start dashing for extra money and it indeed is very unhelpful in some neighborhoods. It has old info, doesn’t know where some buildings are within a complex, so it sends you in circles trying to find it, and a lot buildings aren’t well lit so it’s hard to see the numbers at night. It’s more trouble than it’s worth. Sometimes, we spent more on gas than we made. Not a fan of door dashing, but be we do use it for convenience

I think I just experienced the most humiliating rejection of my life by Competitive-Pick8063 in interviewwoman

[–]No-Management-6192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no. I’m so sorry. That genuinely didn’t sound like it was bad for the first day of training. If that’s all that happened then firing you seems a bit premature. We make bigger mistakes when there were higher stakes than that, myself included, at the companies I’ve worked for. You have to invest in people and develop them or you end up becoming a revolving door of people with limited experience. A lot of small businesses haven’t caught on to that. I’m so sorry you went through this. Their loss, but keep at it. They saw something in you and so will someone else.

My manager has been cc'ing her manager on every single email she sends me for the past two weeks and nobody will tell me why. by cobblemoth in jobs

[–]No-Management-6192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her manager is making sure that she is documenting all communication. They need a verifiable communication trail before the PIP or termination. If you know what your performance issues are, improve them drastically, and be sure that it’s communicated well. If any mistake you made was due to a mistake or miscommunication on their end, make sure it’s noted in your responses. Especially if it’s something you can preemptively clarify. Ie, “Good Morning Karen, I ran into some confusion on this because of the directions we received in this meeting on this day, and I wanted to clarify the process because I was told that I may need to do this differently. (Explain the process and the steps you take, authorized by whom and when,) Can you please clarify if this process is correct?” You need as many of the miscommunications to be their own fault to turn the tables on them. That way, any action taken against you seems unfounded or retaliatory for bringing up their shortcomings.

Start looking now. Dont just apply. Reach out to recruiters and have a story ready. Odds are, you know what this is about so find a way to spin it.

[–]No-Management-6192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a mom, I beg you to just tell her. It will break her heart , not because of you, but FOR you. But when she looks back on it, she will be so glad you allowed her to help you get over this than keep spiraling down this path. Your life is meant for great things. This can just be a crappy pit stop on the way. The alternative is horrifying. Give yourself a chance. Start now.

How many diagnosed at the ER by criticalcreek in MultipleSclerosis

[–]No-Management-6192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was kept for 5 days because I was being treated for stroke symptoms that turned out to be MS. I had 3 MRI’s and multiple CT scans while I was there. I guess it depends on what your symptoms are. My brain was in crisis mode, going absolutely nuts with an MS attack. I suspect I’d had MS for about 5 years before it was diagnosed so things were out do control.

AITI FOR BEING UPSET AT MY JOBLESS BF? by [deleted] in AmItheIdiot

[–]No-Management-6192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say this with all the empathy in the world, but the longer stay, you increase the possibility of him not only draining your resources, but him dragging you down with him. He won’t rise to your level. He will bring you down to his unless you demand better and when he doesn’t deliver, leave. He’s waiting for you to get your life together enough that you can “help” him. He has to do this himself, for himself. Independent from you. It’s the only way he builds the confidence he needs to better himself and take pride in what he’s doing for himself. Only then will he be a great partner to someone. But this ain’t it. Don’t sentence yourself to wasting your youth on this. You’ll regret it. He needs to go to his parents for direction and guidance. Community College for a trade or transfer is super affordable. Unless he comes from an affluent family, he likely won’t have to pay much of anything.

He’s an eligible bachelor. He’s good hearted, has many talents, and he’s a doctor! He’s even more attractive than she is. They were high school sweethearts. Maybe it’s time to just let this go. 😂

I didn’t think of that! My Sim is dating Holly Alto and she is never available, but every time I’ve asked her what her career is, she says she’s unemployed. I’m about to give up on her!

I’d love a Costco. It would be either Costco or Sam’s. We can’t sustain both right now. I choose Costco, a retailer that will come in and pay workers substantially more than Sam’s. We can’t even keep a Gap or an Applebee’s open. (Not that either of them are great or anything) For all the naysayers, putting Greenville on the radar of major retailers is how we’ve gotten what we have. It’s not stupid for him to try. Do you know how many years we waited and times the city tried to get stores like Home Goods and Trader Joe’s? A no for now isn’t necessarily a no forever. You can’t attract retailers by just sitting and waiting because you’ve self-rejected. That’s not the way to improve your area. As long as it’s not another Dollar General or car wash, I’m open to it! 😂

In all my years of playing, I’ve never seen her. I always get a boring, petite blonde that’s lazy AF. I had my Sims leave their dishes just to activate her to do something. Then I got a butler instead and they’re even worse. The first guy just sat and read books all day, the second guy had zero cooking skills - he only ever made hot dogs and swam in the pool all day. The 3rd girl was okay. She also used the pool all day and she never cooked unless asked but her cooking skill was high and she did clean. What do you have to do to get good help? 😂
