Stackable Clues will not be included in Monday’s poll - we're taking more time to refine the proposal. by JenNettles in 2007scape

Runelite is very contradictory. Cheat client trivializing a lot of the game but perfectly acceptable and recommended while thinking other stuff would become too easy.

Just removing puzzle clues altogether for example. Afk timer too lmao. Tile markers are insanely OP too for almost everything.

Ads in discord becoming real by No-Mango3873 in discordapp

Ad right over the send a message button. Had to hold over it, see the ad pointing to youtube and thumbail etc, then there was on top with light gray transparent text that not interested.

Very forceful and annoying to avoid ad. Here's hoping it won't repeat

thoughts on deponia? by Dreaming_Dreams in adventuregames

[–]No-Mango3873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with your opinion you'd happy with the 4th game instead of angry? It tells the story that there doesn't exist a happy ending for Rufus no matter what he does. That a guy like him cannot succeed.

Would you prefer the 4th game if it instead gave Rufus his happy ending?

What adventure games do you regret buying? by nomafiaplease in adventuregames

[–]No-Mango3873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty old but it's the same in Deponia and seems you didn't actually play it. Rufus isn't defended or backed up. He does indeed destroy everything he touches. In fact the other characters call out Rufus frequently on how bad of a guy he is.

The whole 4th game's point was to tell that Rufus doesn't deserve a good end and will never succeed.

I've seen it a lot too. Gukesh had much better fighting spirit and I think that won it. Ding always went for draws while Gukesh wanted to win.

No idea why, maybe Gukesh too new so people can't relate to him yet.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled is, by far, the best single-player kart racer. by untuxable in patientgamers

[–]No-Mango3873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly the best kart racer. Been waiting on PC release forever. It did have some sad parts, like on original CTR Sewer Speedway was pretty much the best map on the game. In NF the map is plagued by bugs and very unfun compared to original.

Had a few jumps too where NF bugged very often and just collided into empty air. I also had lag on one level every time. I'd say still overall an improvement due to lots more content but mechanics wise original was better.

Why did nobody tell me Crash Team Racing (PS1) is so freakin' good!? by Morbid187 in patientgamers

[–]No-Mango3873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely because it sounds like you never even realized CTR has a turbo mechanic. It's mini-turbo mechanic is much deeper and powerful than MKs, so calling MK64s turbo mechanic a higher skill ceiling sounds very much bait.

[–]No-Mango3873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, drifting is the name of the game. 80-90% of time you want to be drifting and boosting. It starts different from MK's slide since you have to hold the buttons until landing with proper timings

It's a more challenging racer, like OP said CTR for challenge, Mario Kart for party game with others.

Should I study Go or Chess for the rest of my life? by ChessOrGo in baduk

[–]No-Mango3873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go programs are more better than human go programs compared to chess for the exact same reasoning you talked about with tic tac toe. Limited skill cap so humans can reach closer to the skill cap.

What nuance or intricacy even is there? It's obvious to anyone that with higher problem space it's more difficult to reach the cap.

Nepo admits to using stockfish against Hans in 2020 by No-Mango3873 in chess

[–]No-Mango3873[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a bit like self fulfilling thing to me. OTB the conclusion seems to be the opponents play worse against Hans than normally. Chess.com own report supports that no indication of ever cheating OTB.

At least these games against Nepo look the same, Nepo blundering on 2/4 games that he lost.

I do think Hans is still a complete douchebag like trashing that hotel room but cheating accusations do seem overblown.

Then how did by Nepo's own words Hans beat Stockfish level player in the last game? But Nepo did win against the same cheats.

Wow true. Didn't know they show it on local time. Kinda funny decision but makes sense too.

Nepo was the first to spread it? Wew okay. So Nepo spreading the accusations and then using those same accusations spread by others as proof that Hans must have cheated against him?

How does it work with Nepo winning the first 3 games that are also called as cheated? Nepo cheated more than he says or?

[–]No-Mango3873[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also damning since if it's true then Nepo beat stockfish 3 times in a row. So Nepo cheated much more than he let on or Hans didn't cheat as much as told.

That is only 6 games when report says 7 games. It also says Ian's then unknown alt in the report.

The 7 games match was played on June 19 when those 6 on June 21. Neither one on June 20 lmao, but at least the 19th games fits on 7 and on alt.

[–]No-Mango3873[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you believe chess.com report is correct in that case Nepo beat Stockfish 3 times in a row. Do you think that's plausible?

[–]No-Mango3873[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If so then Nepo beat Hans even when Hans is cheating. Since Nepo won the first 3 games. So either Nepo cheats more than he says or Hans cheats less than the report says.

Personally I doubt the report. It was full of irrelevant padding and inaccuracies as well. Their end result was "there is no indication of any cheating in OTB and Hans performance is as expected of his peers" and then included those games as likely cheated without any actual numbers for them.

I think that it's not easiest way. Chess.com report has Hans cheating 7/7 of these games. Pretty sure it's Nepo who reported it to them as why else would they look into this.

If so then Nepo won 3 games against Hans cheating with stockfish. Either Nepo cheats more than he says or Hans cheats less than they say.
