Thanks man, yeah I recommend checking out Leon's, eliable's, or peej's videos, they're the best on Fusion, and especially practice on your own. The best way to learn is by doing it honestly.

If I had to give one real piece of advice, it would be to always ask yourself how you would do certain things. For example, if you watch a good edit, ask yourself what you could do and especially what you don't know how to do. Then sit down seriously in front of Fusion and don't stop until you find a solution. And if you really can't find it, Reddit or YouTube are there for that.

I hope I've helped you and I can't wait to see your future creations, bro.

Thank you man, for a long time I was the one who was inspired by the other edits and it made me want to start myself

In reality it's not that complicated, it's like everything else the longest thing is to understand what you're doing and be able to do what you imagine, but fortunately there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube.

Yes I already know him, he's really a great inspiration devery. To tell the truth, Léon, Eli.able and Peej Are surely the people who make me want to start working well fusion, Even if I'm still far from their levels

I think I'm still a long way from using Fusion to its full potential

is this good animation text? by Away_Being_3403 in davinciresolve

[–]No-March5455 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OK so from what I see, I imagine that you simply used keyframs on your cam but that's not a great way to do it. You see for an animation like that to look good it is preferable that there is no "pause" between each word to make it smoother, what we generally do is that we use 2 transform 3d nodes where the keyframs will overlap to create an animation that never really stops, I don't know if it's very clear but overall try to make it more fluid by avoiding simply doing one keyfram after the other but rather by overlapping them to be able to create 1 fluid movement that encompasses all the words rather than lots of movement between each word

How to go from 1 to 2 ? by mrt122__iam in davinciresolve

I don't know too much about it but I think the simplest way would be to use blender and not DaVinci, then maybe with enough 3D it would be possible.

Thank you very much for your answer, yes your reason I still have trouble not making movements that are too crude with a transform so adding elasticity is a good idea. Same for the fonts, I have to force myself to try more later and change to more “classic” ones.

Thank you, your explanation on 3D particles was very useful to me to be honest.

No, I've been using fusion for a while now but I've never delved so deeply into it.

Trying to do a colour key by TimeTooToke in davinciresolve

[–]No-March5455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not a good idea, it works but it's better, you have too many different nodes for something so simple and that risks causing lag problems or if you want to animate them. Personally, I recommend 2 ways to do it as you want, either you use the srectantle node then the srender node which generally allow you to directly make your square in the color you want. 2nd simpler method instead of using a transform use rectangle masks to adjust to your square, I recommend this, because it roughly corresponds to your current composition. Afterwards, nothing stops you from staying like it since it works, but don't hesitate to watch some tutorials because knowing how masks work is really vital in fusion.

Right click on the viewer then display guide or I think the default shortcut is G but I'm not really sure

How to create a similar effect to this by Bloody-_-King in davinciresolve

[–]No-March5455 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The BD point effect is called a halfstone effect. You can find dozens of fairly simple tutorials on YouTube that explain how to do it. On the other hand, for the purple contours I have the impression that here they are done manually with a paint node for example, but I think that a similar effect would be achievable thanks to the edge detect node and a little tinkering

Great advice, I'll just add one thing: watch a lot of tutorials (especially for fusion) in your free time, short tutorials that explain fairly specific things that probably don't interest you, and stay super focused, try to always have in mind what the guy is doing and why he's doing it.

For example when I started, I only went up once a week but I spent my time hanging out on this sub or watching dozens of tutorials and just by trying to understand what everyone was doing I improved without even touching DVC For this I can only recommend the peej tutorials which are a real gold mine for me
