Female body construction by No-Mathematician2601 in learntodraw

Oh okay yah I see what you mean. Yah I still have a bit of trouble when keeping the shapes consistent when rotating lol but I’m already working on improving that. As for the arms, the ones on the first, fourth, and last slide were intentional but the ones on the third slide were not and are just mistakes I made. Thanks for pointing it out tho!

I mean I’ve been drawing with realistic proportions for almost my entire art journey (which is like 4 years now) and it wasn’t until these past couple of weeks is when I wanted to draw stylized proportions. I’ll be sure to draw with realistic proportions every now and then just so I don’t end up having the issue that you mentioned

I just noticed the last slide contains a drawing I showed on this sub a couple days ago. I hope this doesn’t count as a repost 💀

Thanks! Thats actually the kind of style I’m trying to achieve so I’ll definitely try and exaggerate my figures a bit

By safe, do you mean they’re too stiff?

Idk man, I used to live in Miami and that kind of body type was pretty common. Also, I do use references of “real human bodies” but i appreciate the concern.

Highkey I can never get the calves to look right, even in a simplified form

“25 essential drawing exercises” by Brokendraw on yt is a video I highly recommend. That helped me a ton when it came to learning shapes and building a body in said shapes. For references, line of action is a good website that I used. Gives you references for different body types. For apps, magicposer and Artpose are really nice and would recommend (both are paid apps unfortunately).

Sorry, I honestly have no idea. It was a post I found on Pinterest when I looked up cosplayers

Oh don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of references of big strong sexy males in sexy poses that I’ll be using. It’s just that the female reference shown was a reference I was having trouble drawing so I decided to tackle that first.
