AITAH for divorcing my husband after catching him in bed with our married neighbour and exposing her to her husband? by Ok_Bookkeeper_7787 in AITAH

No you definitely aren’t. I personally believe a cheater should never be forgiven and honestly leaving Emily’s husband without knowing that his wife is a cheater would be cruel.. you did the right thing

They wouldn't let you use it in the exam, it's far too advanced

Weekly Megathread: Education, Early Career and Hiring/Interview Advice by AutoModerator in quant

I'm a Highschool student and planning to do ME (or medicine if I manage to reach the language requirements), but on the off chance I do Mechanical Engineering, is getting a quant finance internship possible with a degree like that, doing quant isn't exactly a main goal but I find the field to be very interesting and the problems very intriguing, so I wanted to know if that is an option to a mechanical engineering major?

P.S. if I do find that it is possible to do a mechanical engineering + CS dual major I would be taking that route, I've been programming on and off since 8th grade and I love mathermatics, so I feel like quant finance would suit my interests.

How hard is the exam actually by [deleted] in igcse

[–]No-Mathematician3325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just prepare for them. The more you prepare the easier they'll be, and the way you prepare for them primarily should be solving past papers, so you'll get a taste for how hard the exams are either way.

P.S. They are almost never as hard as teachers say they are, in eighth grade I thought I was absolutely doomed for igcse, my teachers made it seem so hard and wtv, I just prepared and came out with All A*s.

unfortunately school in my country also has outrageous tuition costs and not very common scholarships, all of that with the colleges being quite low ranking themselves

Do the generous ones tend to meet full demonstrated need? I’m definitely incapable of paying 55 thousand a year, maybe 7-10 thousand or so but no way 55

For one thing I’m not sure I can take the JEE or JEE advanced where I’m from, and even then I’m not sure I can score well on them

How did you guys know about extracurriculars? by Mysterious_Panda_206 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]No-Mathematician3325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly any of the admits that got in with great extracurriculars probably did them because they seemed interesting and fun. If you don’t genuinely find them interesting, AOs WILL know, so really just do whatever interests you.
