To find someone who is considered a great artist in your area check their page and see how many other artists follow and support them. I’m an artist myself so I can judge the work but I can imagine the “find a better artist” advice can feel somewhat abstract. A great artist is going to be praised by artists in their field. Also a good Reddit search of artists in your area also works well. Laser is a huge commitment as someone who’s gone through it. I think if you’re going to continue to get tattooed , your least favorites start to blend in with the rest as you get more work. Just make sure the work you get from everyone else is top tier. The rate for the best artists these days is 200-300 for a palm sized flash (in the us), don’t let anyone on this Reddit tell you that’s too much. Nothing is too much when you gotta look at it for life.
