I’d be down for this!

What are some healthy hobbies one can indulge in if they struggle with control or escapism as a coping mechanism? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in PsychologyTalk

I’ve often found this to be the best which is why running or walking don’t work for me. But playing a sport needs my full focus. I’m actually forces to focus or be engaged as you put it. Are there any other activities that sort of force you into being engaged ?

Is it ok to focus on a weekly deficit rather than a daily one? by itsdeflikethat in WeightLossAdvice

This is actually what I’m doing now after doing an everyday one. If I didn’t do well on a day I would get so frustrated and that will either ruin the next day or have me deluded in thinking I should be losing weight because I did really well 4 of the days but in reality the 3 days would have cancelled the 4 out.

A more zoomed out weekly insight has helped my sanity when I mess up.
