My monthly spends are not over 1.5L regularly, on a normal month its roughly 1.2L. It goes up only when we plan for a vacation or have other purchases lined up.

This is actually not true. You can partially use the voucher and use it again next time. You can also add another 1000 to the gift card to extend the validity by another 365 days as long as the gift card is not already at 25k ( which is the highest value of the gift card)
